Living separately from spouse while I-130 is pending,, |

I submitted I-130 on behalf of my husband in September 2021. I ve been living with him in Europe for 5+ years now. Since in all likelihood, we will probably get a visa decision made this Fall/Winter according to predicted processing times, I ve already gone ahead and got a job in the States. I ll be moving back to start my new job soon, so my husband and I will need to live separately until there s a resolution on his visa. My question is, does this work against us in any way to be living separately, even when it s basically me setting things up in the US for the both of us as we wait for his visa? Is this common to do?

Hi everybody, My husband (US citizen) and I (German) are living in Germany. Both of us work here at German companies. My husband recently got a job offer in the US. He would have to start there in October (which is 3.5 Month from now). In Germany we have to give our comany at least 3 month notice. So this is almost the shortest amount of time we could make work. Do we qualify for DCF or is the time until he has to start too long for exceptional circumstances. We would need to file in Frankfurt, Germany. I appreciate all your answers and your help. Every experience is helpful Thanks!

Hi, I am trying to schedule an appointment for a J1-Exchange Visa and I have filled in a DS160 Form as the instructions say and than wanted to book an appointment. I logged in to my account and went to the page new appointment. I have filled in informations about which embassy and visa type I want to book an appointment for and then got to a page where I should write my passport information as well as the DS160 confirmation number, Sevis ID and project number. I copy paste the confirmation number from my confirmation letter in the mail and clicked next but as soon as that I got an error message saying that "The DS-160 number you entered is incorrect. Please try again." Had anyone here the same issue or knows how I can solve this problem? I have contacted the support 08938036830 but the employer there just said to try it again on Monday. Do you know if there is a technical support team for this? Any help would be really great. Thank you. (I have attached the screenshot of the page here also)

My fianc and I are putting together the packet to send to the Frankfurt consulate for the K-1 visa interview. As part of it, we are trying to register the document delivery address on US Travel Docs, but following the instructions in P3 and on the US Travel Docs website we are lead to a page where we have to select the visa type and there is no K1 option (New Application/Schedule appointment > Immigrant Visa > Immigrant Visa Delivery Registration). Wondering if others have encountered this and how they resolved it? This is more or less a duplication of this post below but it looks like they never got an answer, wasn't sure if resurrecting that post was the right thing to do or not. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Confusion about when we're allowed/able to schedule interview |

Hey all, My fianc and I are a bit confused about when exactly we are allowed to schedule the interview for her K-1 visa at the consulate in Frankfurt. We were originally operating under the assumption that she needed to receive P3, send the consulate the requested documents, and then she would be issued/would be able to schedule an interview date after they reviewed the documents. However, I've seen other posts/sources saying that you can go to ustraveldocs and schedule an interview once your CEAC status is "ready" (ours has been since May 27th, it has been updated multiple times since then as well based on the date listed but always shows "ready"). Is this something that is only allowed at other consulates? Is this something only Ukrainians are allowed to do (my fianc is a German citizen and most of the newer info I see about Frankfurt only pertains to Ukrainian cases)? I've reached out the the consulate for clarification but thought it would be worth posting on here as well. Thanks in advance for any help!
