Case expedited but never requested

I was DQ in September 15th and got an email on September 30th saying that my appointment had been cancelled although I never had one to begin with. After a little bit of digging in seemed like a lot of people waiting for appointments in Frankfurt received this email.

Today I suddenly received an email again saying The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in FRANKFURT, GER approved your request for expedited processing of your immigrant visa application. The National Visa Center sent your immigrant visa application to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in FRANKFURT, GER for their action. The Embassy/Consulate General will contact you soon to schedule a visa interview.

But I never put in an expedite request. Is this just a normal email that everyone gets? Did anyone else receive an email like this waiting for an appointment in Frankfurt?

last name misspelled on medical exam

I recently went for my medical exam and while most of the medical exam was covered by the main panel physician, I had to go to another medical practice (In cooperation with this physician) to get my x-rays done. They handed me the bill and a red envelope to take to the border when immigrating into the US. I am not allowed to open this envelope.

When they handed me the bill in a seperate envelope I didn't check it until I got home since I already paid it. When I got home I realized that they spelled my last name wrong on the bill. I'm now worried that my last name is also misspelled on the x-ray documents I'm supposed to take to the border and I'm wondering if that would be a problem?

It's just one letter. They put an A where there should be an E.

Am I stressing too much or should I try to call them to fix it?

USCIS erased my first name and couldn't fix the error... any ideas what I'm supposed to do now?

Good Morning,

So, I sent my ROC package in July and received my extension letter shortly after. Everything was correct, name, address, etc. About 2-3 weeks after that, I received my biometrics notice in the mail. The address was correct, but they erased my first name. It was addressed to "no given name" MY MIDDLE NAME, MY LAST NAME. Well, I thought, I could get it fixed when I go to the biometrics, so I didn't even try to do anything about it then.

I went to the biometrics appointment and explained what happened and they told me, they have never seen it before. They gave my paperwork to the officer and he tried to fix it in the system, but he couldn't. They told me, I have to call the hotline and let them fix it. I tried multiple times to talk to a representative, but couldn't get a real person on the phone. Even though it's not a typographical error, I filed the form to correct one. I was supposed to get a response by yesterday, but haven't heard anything yet.

I was already annoyed that I had to go to biometrics as it is because they had fingerprints on file and it was a 3 hour drive (one way) to the ASC... I was even more annoyed to hear that I had to go there because of a "name change", which they caused.

If I ever have to renew documents or apply for anything where they need to check my immigration status, they won't be able to. Proofing a name change that I didn't do is a little difficult. It's not like a name change from maiden to married name that I could proof.

So my question is... Does anybody know what I'm supposed to do now? I ran out of ideas. Any help is greatly appreciated!

My husband came to the U.S on K1 visa July 2021, we got married before the 90 days deadline. We filled AOS October 2021 and received RFE on I-864 Affidavit of Support. We submitted our response Nov 2021, and since then no update. My husband wants to travel to his home country to go see his aged mother who is sick, but he has no GC to travel. We didn't apply for AP because we didn't think the GC will delay to this extent. I have tried calling USCIS but the automated system won't let me speak with a live agent. I have also contacted my Congressman office, they have sent a message to USCIS twice still no movement. We are not sure what else to do to get the GC approved so my husband can go see his sick mother. Does anyone have a trick to get live agent on phone? Also, any suggestions on what we need to do about our case? Thank you in advance for your response.

Email says DQ waiting for interview but document shows missing

I got an email two days ago saying that my case has gotten documentarily qualified and the NVC is now working on scheduling my interview at the embassy.

When logging into ceac it says police certificate (Germany) missing.

Although my police certificate has been submitted and accepted further down in the same list.

I ve already tried researching and contacting NVC per mail and contact form but I can t figure out what to do.

Could the be worried my police certificate might expire before my interview? It expires February 2023 (it will be two years old by that time)

I ve requested a new police certificate just to be safe so I can end up bringing it to the interview but should I upload it or no?
