Hey guys. So my fianc (M,24, USA) and me (F,23, Germany) received our NOA2 last week, however I'm really freaking out right now because of the medical exam. I used to smoke cannabis a lot in the past, but I stopped a little over 1.5 years ago because I went to therapy and she wanted me to stop and I also had to do drug tests for her, which she will also prove by writing me a letter for the medical exam. I have still used it here and there since but stopped entirely like a month ago and I tried an HHC pen (which is THC free) for a few days. Do you guys think any of this will be a problem? I'm really freaking out right now

Our F2A case has been marked as "DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED" by NVC since March 29, 2023. We received an e-mail saying that NVC will now work with the Frankfurt embassy in Germany to schedule an interview appointment date. Does anyone know how long it will take to receive an interview date? On the embassy website I can only see that non-immigrant visa interview appointments are given out within 1 to 10 days. Also, I can already see that there are almost no medical appointments available for the next three months at all four doctors in the country. Since I don't have an interview date, I can not yet schedule a medical appointment. If we happen to get an interview date at the embassy in two months, how am I supposed to schedule a medical before I attend the interview? It would be amazing if someone could share their experience Thanks and good luck to y'all!

Hello everyone, someone stole or I lost my wallet 4 months before my conditional GreenCard that I got through a K1 visa and marriage expires. I applied for a replacement (I-90) right away and it s estimated to only take 3 months what is great. Yesterday I got a letter from the USCIS to file form I-751 to remove my conditions what I obviously can t right now. But then I read some more on the USCIS website and it said all people that file form I-90 get the GreenCard validated 12-24 months in the future but it said only for permanent residents and I m only a conditional resident right now as I understand. I am all confused now it I should just file the form I-751 or wait until I have my new GreenCard. I appreciate everyone s help :)

Hello all, there is something that has been gnawing at me since starting the process. Theres a few posts I was able to find now discussing the possible link to poor mental health and denial of the visa. I don't plan on going too much in depth so here is the situation: I had been in therapy from age 12 til I was 18. On top of that I had an involuntary hospital stay for about a month when I was 12 as well due to the doubt I could cause fatal harm to myself. I am currently looking for another therapist because up until I was 18 I was a minor and now I am an adult and therapists usually specify here on which age group they treat. The only diagnosed conditions I have are depression, PTSD and an unspecified personality disorder. Most of the information I can find is rather outdated, since I feel as though the stigma around mental health has lessened a little with recent years, but I do know that that unspecified personality disorder might be a problem because that part definitely hold a lot of stigma still. Now, luckily I don't have a lot of visible scars that might make my past clear in the medical exam. I do plan on going on an anti-depressant with my new therapist, which I believe is something I would definitely have to tell whoever will examine me. So my question is now: How much should I offer up? Do I have to offer up anything at all besides the medication? I was 12 at the time of the hospital stay which is basically a decade ago and I was a child. I see most people don't want to risk pretending like that part of them doesn't exist but rather are upfront about it, gathering mostly letters from a GP and possible therapist proving that they are no harm to themselves or other people. It does sound like the safer route to go. Personally I am also from Germany and I've seen some employers literally be able to find out whether or not you've been in therapy before. Anywho, any experiences, advice or tips for how to go about this would be appreciated! Many thanks!

Hello everyone, I check my K1 visa status on the CEAC website, and it now shows READY. The website says I will receive a letter from the embassy, but I am still waiting to receive it. Please, what should I do next? Should I wait for the letter, or can I fill out the DS 160 form, book an interview appointment and book for medicals? Please advise, as I need clarification. Thank you in advance.
