US Immigration from Germany

Hi guys,

I was hoping someone on here has experience with the following scenario since I wasn t able to find anything on this topic.

the beneficiary in this case has three (3) valid passports because of frequent traveling due to work.

a fourth passport is also available and still in use du to a valid B1/B2 visa ( used in combination with valid passport)

Does the beneficiary need to bring all those passports to the interview or only the one he s intending to use for the K1 visa?

I hope anyone can give some input here.

I helped a friend file her AOS papers adjusting from a Student Visa (F1). She received an RFE for their I-864 and we are struggling to figure out A) what was wrong and B) have questions on how to respond. I attached the RFE. Any help/insight is greatly appreciated!

About the situation:

- Petitioner (US Citizen) is a military veteran looking for a job. He receives 26k/year for disability. Since these are tax-exempt, they do not show on his tax return. So we had to put a reported annual federal income of just $5k down, that showed on his tax returns (previous years are similar). Because of this considerable discrepancy, we added a letter of explanation that talked about where his money is coming from and why it is not showing on his tax returns

- Beneficiary (Immigrant) is on OPT and makes $44k a year, so also well above the 125% poverty guidelines.

These are the documents we provided:

• Letter of Explanation for I-864

• Copy of U.S citizen birth certificate

• Transcript of federal income tax return of most recent year

• Petitioner VA Letter of disability

• Petitioner Copy of GI bill pay stubs from the past year

• DD-214

• Past 12 months of Bank Statements from the Account that receives the Direct Deposits

• VA ID Card

• Beneficiary employment letter

• Beneficiary Copy of most recent pay stubs

Now they received an RFE and we are not sure what is wrong. We did notice that we forgot to enter a sum in Part 6.

Do they want them to get a sponsor? Or is just the sum that is missing and that is what the RFE is for?

I m in a bit of a situation and would love your support on best way to move forward. I mailed in my RFE in time and the day that my mail was delivered I got a status update saying an RFE was sent out a 2nd RFE?

anyways, the mail didn t arrive, I did an e-request after 20 days as it says. Now, they did just update a month later that the RFE is being resent 10-14 business days. However I m scared now that because it s already taken so long that I ll miss the deadline.

is every RFE always at least 90 days response time? Do you think I should go to a local office or reach someone trying to get the letter electronically?

In case it will be too late; will the mail that didn t arrive hence delaying the process for me be taken into consideration?

any help would be appreciated

Hey guys. I have my medical exam in 3 weeks. And I have to fill out this thing with questions about my medical history etc.

one of the questions is whether I've ever been in psychotherapy. I was in therapy for a while because of anxiety and also just the difficulties of being being in an LDR.

could that make me inadmissible? Specifically because of the anxiety?

Still have a few months until my 90-day period opens up to file for ROC, however, we're also due to move states in this timeframe and I'm honestly not sure what the best way of handling this would be.

For reference, this is the situation we're looking at currently:

90-day period opens: 1/18/2024
Most likely physically moving at some point between: 2/15 - 2/28/2024

GC expiration: 4/17/2024

We'll be in a hotel for at least a few weeks upon arrival with no set address so it'll definitely take a while to have everything switched over as we need to find a new place to live first of course. Probably unlikely for us to have a house secured before mid-March, so most billing cycles and statements and whatnot wouldn't show our new address until at some point in April, possibly after GC expiration even. Delaying or moving up the relocation date isn't an option either.

I'd assume filing everything from where we're currently at would be easier as all addresses are in order and connected, however, I'm concerned that I'll essentially have less than a month between potentially filing and us moving away. What if there's a delay and some USCIS comms, especially the extension letter, might just get lost in the mail in the end? I'm stressed just thinking about this - idk if this is warranted of if I'm perhaps just overthinking it?

If anyone of you has been in a similar situation, would you mind sharing any relevant personal experiences please?
