US Immigration from Germany

Hello all,

my fiance is going to be moving here to the US on a K-1 visa this November. And we are currently starting to figure out everything he needs to bring/send.

He takes a few different prescription medications and the plan was for him to bring a 3 month supply of each medication with him. So he'll have enough to last him until I can add him to my insurance and he can see a doctor here and get new prescriptions.

These aren't medications that he needs in case of an emergency where he would have to have them on him, so they would just be in his checked luggage.

For anyone who has had to bring a large amount of medication with them, is there anything he should have to show CBP? like a letter from his doctor or something? In case they ask?

Or something like a letter to pack with his medication, in case they open his luggage to inspect it?

One of his medications is something that is refrigerated, since it'll be November, what are the chances we would need to put that medication with like an ice pack in his checked bag? Or is that something he should carry with him with an ice pack?

hes brought medication with him before when he was visiting, but it was only ever about 2 weeks worth so it wasn't something we really thought about.

I arrived in the US two weeks ago (yay ) and I m thinking about applying for the social security number while I started the application yesterday I started wondering about some things and thought I d find an answer here.

1) Can I actually apply already?

2) we will get married on 09/27 would it make more sense to wait and apply for the number while applying for the adjustment of status? I would have to change the name on the card afterward right?

I filed N-400 about a month ago (under 319 b)

My last and only biometrics appointment was for my Reentry permit in June of 2023.

I was expecting for my biometrics to be reused but also prepared to fly to the states for a biometrics appointment.
(Last time I got my appointment a week after filing)

Now I am reading everyone s experience and it seems like every single person I see gets either biometrics reuse notice or a biometrics appointment within the first few days.
For me it s been a month and the case is just stuck on Receipt notice sent

Receipt notice just says I will be getting a biometrics appointment letter.

As I am not in the states and all my mail is sent to my mil s house I am starting to worry that a letter was sent and it s been overlooked or went missing in the mail.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Do you think I ll get my appointment letter in the mail or online also?

Last time it only came in the mail with less than a week notice and I had to drop everything and book a flight to make it there on time.

I wish there was a way to contact USCIS to make sure a letter wasn t sent that never made it to me.

Anyone here that has gone for their K1 visa interview and the visa was aproved without the visa officer asking for the i-134 form( affidavit of support)?

Especially Frankfurt Embassy?
