Hello everyone. I am seriously thinking about filing for writ of mandamus since my fianc s case has been under administrative processing for over 16 months. What do you guys think? Should I wait until things with covid-19 have settled a little until I file one or should I just go ahead and file it now?

Hi guys, finally, last wednesday the status updated that a new interview was given to us. Hope this may be helpful to anyone still waiting. How long does it usually take to get the interview notice? I dont remember how long it took last time, but since I am not sure what date they rescheduled the interview for, I dont want to miss it haha. Good luck everyone!

Dear all, I am posting here because I need advice on direction. I have my interview scheduled for August 4th. As I am flying in from overseas just to be able to go to the interview, I am facing considerable costs. Especially because I need to fly over 14 days prior to quarantine. My worst fear or concern is that I am flying over in the middle of the school term over here, sit in my hotel room only to find out that my interview is cancelled a few days prior to August 4th and that I would only find out while already in the US. My interview would be in Washington DC. Is USCIS considering those rare cases of 319 (b) filers and their specific circumstances of flying in from the other end of the world? Or will I find out, lets say, August 1st while almost done with my quarantine? I have tried to reach out but I didn't get any answer. What would you guys do if you were in my shoes? At the same time, I feel really bad asking USCIS employees again because of their own worries and concerns during these tough days. I am pretty sure that furlough is looming heavily over their head.

Hi everybody. I am currently under AOS / seeking permanent residency from a K-1 visa. I am trying to find a legal way to get employed here in the US before receiving the EAD. Biometrics appointments are not being scheduled and I am starting to lose hope that I will see an EAD anytime soon with everything that is going on at the moment. I am not sure if this works, but if a foreign company invested here in the US and I was to be sponsored by this foreign company for an E-2 employee visa, what would happen to my original I-485 petition? Is this a feasible idea? Any thoughts or advice are greatly appreciated!
