A lot of credit cards let you issue cards for authorized users without the SSN. If one does this and the authorized user in the future ( say in a year or two) immigrates to the US, obtains SSN, links SSN to the existing cards will then their credit report go back retroactively? Sorry if this has been asked before.

my wife has filed for DS-260 petition through NVC from Georgia (country). Through this petition she is required to submit police documentation of herself. The problem is, the issuing authority provided in the NVC document finder page no longer gives out this document. Instead, a new issuing authority has been providing this document. This information has been verified by both the new and old issuing authority and the US embassy of Georgia, who have also told us that they have informed NVC about this change. After submitting the petition, this document was flagged with a message: "Please replace this with an acceptable police certificate from a correct issuing authority. Please use our Document Finder at https://nvc.state.gov/find for acceptable documents guidelines." We resubmitted with an explanation that this is the only obtainable document and attached an email from the US embassy stating that we should get these documents from the new issuing authority. Our case has yet again been denied! We have sent NVC an inquiry form three times, explaining the whole situation in detail. Their response was: -The document you previously submitted is illegible or unacceptable per reciprocity. Please resubmit so NVC can review your case. -The documents you submitted will be reviewed soon. We will let you know whether we complete your case or if we need more information. (twice) We are basically stuck in a loop where we cannot explain to NVC about our situation. They keep overlooking any kind of explanation either through the inquiry or through the Document submission notes. To make things worse, their call center has been closed. Is there any way to get in touch with a representative to explain our situation? do lawyers provide this kind of service? we are in desperate situation, please help! thank you.

Hi all, I would be grateful if any experienced member could answer how long is the current wait for F-4 visa? I see Visa Bulletin showing 2007 for countries other than China. India, Mexico, and Philippines. Is this correct? Has there been any improvement in visa availability in general regarding F-4 in recent years?

Hi all - I made an appointment with the USPS for my passport. I know I need to bring the DS-11, a check for the fee and supporting docs. When it comes to supporting docs I am a bit confused. Do I need to bring both the original and also black and white copy of the naturalization certificate? If so, will they take both at the appointment or send me back with the original? I don't fee l very comfortable having the original taken for months as this would mean I have absolutely no document of any sort regarding my status. Any help would be appreciated. - Submit your original evidence of U.S. citizenship.
- Submit a photocopy of the front (and back, if there is printed information) of your original evidence of U.S. citizenship.
- Photocopies must be: legible, on white 8.5 x11 standard paper, black and white, and single sided.
- In some cases, you may be able to submit a certified copy of your citizenship evidence. A certified copy is any document that has the seal or stamp of the official issuing authority.
- If you don't want to submit a photocopy of your citizenship evidence, you may submit a second certified copy of your citizenship evidence, which we will keep. If you don t submit a photocopy or a second certified copy of your citizenship evidence, your passport processing could be delayed.
- You cannot submit digital evidence of U.S. citizenship (e.g. electronic or mobile birth certificate) when applying for a U.S. passport. You must continue to submit your physical evidence of U.S. citizenship and a photocopy of it.

- Interview was scheduled for 8:35AM in the Raleigh, NC office. I went with my lawyer who helped file my N-400. - Arrived at 8:20AM. Check in took 5 minutes. Waited another 15-20 before we were called. - Interviewer was extremely friendly, explained what the process was going to look like and began with an oath to say the truth. - Civics part was first and after answering 6/6 that ended. Then reading and writing. Then Yes and No questions. My attorney gave the IO my recent travels and updated the file. - He handed me a paper that said recommended for approval. He asked if I could take my oath today and then asked me to wait downstairs for it. - Case status got 3 updates since this morning... 1) We recommended N400 for approval 2) Your application was placed in line for oath ceremony 3) Oath ceremony notice was mailed. - I assume that it will switch to approved in the coming days. - No additional documents were requested. At no point did I submit tax transcripts or was requested to do so. Only evidence I ever provided was, marriage certificate, green card copy, traffic ticket copy, selective services copy and the passport copy. Filed under 5 yr rule. No RFEs Overall great experience. Was in and out in 1 hour. I am happy to have concluded my journey to the citizenship and that I will no longer have to communicate with the USCIS. Thank you all who have helped me throughout my journey. I will be staying here hoping to help someone else.
