Hi everyone I have two questions that I can t really find out... about renewal EAD and AP. As fees will increase after October 2, do you know if it will include renewal or just apply for new application for employment and travel permit? And do you know if it s possible to renew before the 180 days before the end of the EAD/AP? Thanks for your help.

Hey there! I will be adjusting status in the next couple months. I was wondering how does it work with Health Insurance? Do I need to wait to receive an SSN to get covered? If anybody who will be adjusting or who adjusted already could tell me the process that would be great! Thank you guys in advance, have a great day!

Tax implications of getting citizenship and living in France |

So my wife (French) and I (American) have been living in the USA for the past 8 years. My wife has a 10-year green card and has met all requirements to apply for citizenship (she applied in June). We have some family issues that are requiring us move to France next summer, and there is a good chance we'll end up staying about 5-10 years. We were hoping that getting citizenship would allow us to avoid the hassle and cost of the greencard process when we return. But now we're realizing that getting citizenship would require us filing taxes each year. Can anyone confirm? France and the USA have a tax treaty, but it still seems like it could (in the right circumstances) cause us to pay more taxes. Is it better to get the citizenship and deal with filing taxes (which I'll need to do anyway) or abandon the greencard and re-apply when we're ready to return? Any other factors we haven't considered?

Hello all: I read in another post that USCIS asks you to surrender your Green Card (makes sense, of course)... but also your EAD card? I'm freaking out because I can't find mine. Must have been misplaced or lost during my moving a couple of years ago. Never thought about it again as it had already been expired for so many years (the card was valid only for a year and expired in Sep. 2015 I became a LPR in May 2015). I am still waiting to get the interview, and therefore have some time ahead of me to look for the EAD card, but what happens if I no longer can find it? Is my naturalization at risk? Thanks for your feedback. VinnyH

I m a US citizen, my husband is applying for adjustment of status. We got our interview letter in the mail, it s asking to provide the same information as I have already provided with the original application and with the application for I-130. Do i still bring them to the interview? Some of the things were indicated as if applicable. Bring everything just in case?
