US Immigration from France

Hello friends, my friend has a parent who came into the US as a visitor back in the 90's. He is a US citizen through his current wife now. He has been married to his wife for 12 years. He has 2 children from previous marriage that are adults now and are married and have children of their own, can he file for them to come to the US even though he didn't claim them when he entered the US back then? How would he file for them and what would he need to file for them? I told her I don't think so but would appreciate your responses please. Thank you for your time.

My wife is an LPR and we have been living abroad as she works for an international organization of which the US is a member.

So we have maintained her LPR status by flying every 6 months. We also have Global Entry.

Because of Covid, we have been away from the US for 18 months. Even though flights resumed earlier, we did not go for fear of spreading Covid needlessly.

Since we cannot guarantee travel every 6 months in the current climate and don't live in the US, we are thinking of abandoning her LPR status (so no re-entry permit, no consulate boarding FOIL, and no DS-117 resident re-entry visa). If we travel to the US, should could get an ESTA and enter as a Visa-Waiver tourist.

Before we do something drastic like fill out an I-407 to surrender her green card, I wonder if the following would be possible.

Would it be possible to fly to the US with both a Green Card and an ESTA. If we go to Global Entry, get flagged, and CBP says we need to see a judge, could she surrender her green card then and there and continue to enter as a tourist with the valid ESTA?

As we would only be in the US on vacation, we do not want to see an immigration judge and want to be free to leave at the end of the trip without issue.

Any experience trying to fly with GC and ESTA and using whichever works? Other recommendations?

I think this was asked before however I'm having hard time find the exact question. I filed for my child (under 21) I-130 then he came over from Europe before having I-130 approved. So, we decided to file AOS (I-485, I-131 and I-7xx for EAD)

What would be the effect if he travel back to Europe before AOS approved?

i am currently in the AOS process and working with an EAD that s expiring at the end of the year (December 2021).

When would you advise filling the paperworks for the ead and advance parole extension and what should I file?

The USCIS stating that there is no limit an no waiting time for unmarried children (under 21) of US children when filling for I-130 or AOS. Anyone is aware of the processing time of I-130 or I-485 for children of USC?
