Hello,

Just received my interview notice for June 2nd after filling on august 29 2020.

My husband lost his naturalization certificate and certificate of citizenship, on the notice they asked me to bring it to the interview.

Will his passport be sufficient?

Thanks,

Hi all, I just moved to a new address recently and I was wondering if US citizens have to complete and send the form AR-11.

Hello Everyone,

It is still early in May, but I did not find a thread for May filers so thought I would start one (if I missed it please let me know lol).

I am to send the whole file around May 17th.

Anyone else in the adventure?

Take care :)

Marriage Based Green Card/F1 OPT Pending (merged)

Hi all,

New here and looking for some advice. My husband and I will soon be filing for his marriage-based green card. He is a graduating PhD student on an F1 visa, with OPT pending (we re hopefully expecting OPT approval in the next month or so).

The international student advisor at his university said we should wait to file our marriage-based green card application until his OPT is approved. Our lawyer however said that it doesn t matter and that we can file for the green card whenever.

Any advice? The university advisor was concerned that filing the green card app now could jeopardize his pending OPT, and this is obviously our concern too. He is beginning employment on July 1, so imperative that his work authorization isn t compromised.

Is it safer to just wait for the OPT to be approved before we file?

Thank you!

Hi all,

Would love to get a review of the cover letter and packet contents for my husband and I. I am the US citizen, he is French adjusting from F1 OPT. We will be filing I-130 online and mailing the rest. My employer switched their HR company halfway through the year so I have 2 W2s, but they are for the same employment I have held for 1.5 years. I easily met the support level for 2021, but received a raise for year 2022 which is why I am including the compensation letter since that is my stated annual income on the I-864.
