Question - (k-1 fiance visa) Once my fiance is here and married within our 90 days, then while waiting for the green card (or other docs to work/travel before green card) if I need to leave the country to travel for work, can I leave him?

Hi,

We created a list of what we need to ask my fiances GP in England. Can anyone let me know if I am missing anything?

List to bring to GP:

-The US shot chart to compare to what you had done as a child; any shots that you haven t had that are required for US law, get done at doctor appointment

(Get the shots BEFORE the medical exam so he can be signed off for adjustment of status and finished without any further worry about medicals for immigration. There's only 4 shots for adults. Some he may already have. Varicella can be waived. Most likely he only needs a flu shot and Td (Tetanus/diphtheria). Get shots sorted before everything you're working on now and before making a medical appointment)

Need to get from GP to bring to medical appointment:

-Vaccination records with original certification (Shot/Immunization)

-Print out medical records health summary from GP

-Copies of GP/specialist reports, if available, for any significant medical conditions, including all psychiatric. If there is any history of TB or tuberculosis contact, please obtain old records, including investigation and treatment details

Doctor will send results to embassy or hand print copies for you to bring to embassy.

Two questions:

1. Does anyone have the editable U.S. Medical PDF questionaire? Writing it looks so sloppy.

2. My fiance went to the hospital for random things like a scar from falling off his bed, etc. so when it says hospitalized and attach information, we just make a word doc list and attach it?

Hi, I am filling out the evidence of support. I am reading the form from this website:

You must sign Form I-134 in your full name. (Note: Signing Form I-134 is under penalty of perjury under U.S. law). For this reason, you do not need to sign Form I-134 in front of a notary or have your signature notarized after you sign it. This is confusing. I just sign my name - Am I missing something?

Where you submit the form depends on whether the alien you are sponsoring is in or outside the United States and what type of application is being submitted. See the instructions provided with the corresponding application for detailed information on where to submit this affidavit of support. We cant find information on where to file. We read the instructions and it brings us back to a number/nothing helpful. Do we just bring it all to the interview or submit it somewhere beforehand?

Did you submit the following?

  • A signed statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institution that states when you opened an account, the total amount deposited for the past year, and the present balance of such account Do I need to have a certain amount in it, I assume an amount that is above poverty line?
  • A signed statement from your employer on business letterhead that states the date and nature of your employment, salary paid, and whether the position is temporary or permanent Do I write the letter saying all that information then have my boss sign it on letterhead of my company?
  • A copy of your last income federal tax return filed, or a report of commercial rating concern (if self-employed)
  • A list containing the serial numbers and denominations of bonds and names of the owners (if applicable)

Did anyone else submit anything else to show they can provide for their future partner in the US?
