US Immigration from England

My husband and I are waiting for our green card interview to be either scheduled or waived, but his step mom has probably weeks to live as we found out she has terminal lung cancer. We also applied for the ap work and travel but i doubt that will come in time. we are thinking of expediting the green card or isnt there an Emergency travel someone in my family is dying visa?

Hey y all, we sent the AOS package through fedex to the Dearborn address on august 20th, it was received according to package tracking 5 days later on the 25th, it s September 13th today and we have still heard nothing. No email, no text, no check deposited, no mail. Is this normal?

Also, my wife s medical expires in early October. If they received it in august but didn t start on it until mid October or later, will they make her go to a civil surgeon?

Very sadly our relationship did not survive the prolonged time apart and it s with the heaviest heart I need some advice on how to withdraw K1 application. We have NOA2 and it s currently sitting at NVC since March.

I am beyond heartbroken and would appreciate if people will be kind in what they say about this, just the quickest and easiest way to do it please?

Husband just got DQ d last Friday, September 4. Using NVC s timeframes page as to what week they were reviewing civil docs, I waited 3 weeks from when I thought we should have heard something. I finally broke down and called NVC last Friday, waited on hold 55 minutes, and about had a stroke when the phone rep told me yeah, we should heard by now and she thought our case had been overlooked?! She said unfortunately that happens sometimes and she d send it over for review right away. She said it might be 3 more weeks before we heard anything. I couldn t believe it when we got DQ d 2 hours later?! So grateful! I m a U.S. citizen sending for U.K. spouse. I poked around on FAQ s and posts and read interview appointments can take a few weeks or months. I m gonna be worrying now we ve been overlooked again so just trying to understand a general timeline we should expect to be contacted. Anyone else just get a September DQ? Anyone have an idea if we might hear this month? Think it ll be October before we re contacted for interview? Thanks! Appreciate any info we can get. If you re in this thread, hopefully you re near the end of this journey. Best to everyone.

I am a dual citizen of the UK and USA. I live and work in the USA. If I visit the UK for 5.5 months to stay with my mum and have a return ticket back to the USA, will I be liable to pay UK taxes for the duration of being at my mums for 5.5 months? I will not be working for any UK company just visiting but I will be working remote for the company I work for in the USA.
