We have received an RFE asking us to prove that the marriage is bonafide.

The evidence submitted should cover the entire period of the marriage. Such evidence may include, but is not limited to:

(a) Proof of joint insurance policies or that one party was listed as a beneficiary on the insured spouse s policy;

(b) Property leases, mortgages, or registrations;

(c) Shared financial obligations and assets such as jointly filed income taxes showing that each return was properly filed with the state or federal government, or jointly held bank accounts, credit card accounts or utility bills;

(d) Testimony or other evidence regarding courtship, wedding ceremony, shared residence and experience. You may submit your own statements or affidavits from others.

If you submit third party affidavits you must submit a sworn statement explaining why the usual supporting documents are unavailable. Additionally, each affidavit must conform to the guidelines cited below:

We do not have join insurance policies as we do not live in the same country as each other and have never thought into it that deeply. We were only married on December last year and the evidence requested is to cover the entire period of the marriage. We don't have property leases together either and we do not have joint financial obligations. We tried opening an account in US and they won't let us due to one being a UK citizen and pretty much the same with everything else. We are only citizens of our own country and are not able to open such accounts together.

Please any help is really appreciated.

I need to complete the 601 waiver. I m a US citizen and my husband is UK. I feel like I can accurately complete the waiver and include all required evidence, but how do I get his signature on it? The instructions say USCIS will not accept a stamped or typed signature. Can I sign his name since I m the spouse? Could I Dropbox it to him and he could print, sign, and Dropbox to me? I can t think how to get his signature on it? I tried searching the forum for signature info, but didn t find anything. Is there some easy way I m missing?

Hi, it says on the list "The originals and copies of each supporting document that you submitted with your application. Otherwise, we may keep your originals for our records." Do they mean to reprint the entire 485? I dont care if they keep everything from our original application.

Also, For the I-693, my husband did the medical in London in February 2020. Does that suffice? We can bring all this medical information from that appointment in London with us

It also says for the I-864, to bring unless already submitted. We submitted that with the AOS application in May. So we shouldn't need to bring it again?

Hi, For the Green Card Interview it says you need to have the I-94. My husband printed that off originally and gave to officer at entry point in Chicago. Do they want a new printed version of it? We went to the gov site to get it but since my husband has left the country since arriving last March (funeral on the AP) it has that information and not his arrival in 2020.

Help!

Has anyone had their Oath Ceremony in Des Moines, Iowa recently? Mine is on Wednesday and I want to know if guests are still prohibited and/or a guest can wait in the foyer. Also, if we can take a phone in to record? I called the building but they didn t know and the only number was the general immigration number. Thanks in advance
