Adding documents to CEAC AFTER approval |

So our documents have been approved in CEAC but they recommended adding a joint sponsor. If we add documents to CEAC now, will it delay the time it takes for an interview? Like restart the process of getting the documents accepted. Or is it better to not upload them at all? We also need to upload new proof of employment for the petitioner

Hello all! Our K-1 FINALLY has movement!! It has been 20 months to the day since our application has been accepted by USCIS and almost 18 months since we have seen each other! We are currently awaiting approval from my fianc 's physical so we can schedule his interview. He has updated his boss on the status and his boss has offered to let him work remotely in the US once he gets moved. We can not seem to find any info on the subject. If its allowed, who we need to report to about it, how we go about it....nothing. We are hoping he will be here by Christmas and there won't be a break in income for him while we wait for his green card. He intends to integrate completely to the American workforce but thought it would be nice to keep his current job while he looks for a job that suits instead of one he needs. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

NVC Documents Qualified - Sponsor Income question |

My NVC documents have finally qualified after a few weeks of waiting! I received a notice saying This case does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p. I have a few questions about this.. 1, The income of the sponsor submitted was above the threshold but the recent tax returns were significantly less, do you think this was the issue? 2, The sponsor has a new job now, do we need to complete new forms and take this with the applicant to the interview? 3, As it recommends a joint sponsor, should we get one and first present the new job/income to the interviewer before adding a joint sponsor and mention we have it just in case we need it? What would you do in this situation?

Wife Denied Permit Test At CA DMV, SSN Name Not Updated Since Marriage |

We are currently waiting for our AOS interview, adjusting from K1 visa. My wife just went to the California DMV and tried to take her written permit test. They turned her away because the name on the social security card is not the same as the name on her marriage certificate. She didn t update her name, after our marriage, with the Social Security Administration. I don t know how we go about doing this. She really needs to drive soon. She has her EAD. If she gets her name updated and has a replacement card ordered, will it still say on that card that she isn t allowed to work now that she has her EAD? I was told by visajourneyers a while ago to wait until we have the green card to request a new card with her updated name so I m very confused. Thanks

N400 Interview Experience - Newark |

Hi Everyone, My journey has finally ended! I applied to n400 last July (NYC, 5 years rule) moved to NJ in October. Had my biometrics re-use letter in March, and just came back from the interview at Newark, where I also did the Oath shortly after. IO was super friendly and nice, and everyone there extremely helpful and welcoming. What I took with me: - 5 years of tax returns
- Passport (expired)
- Select service registration
- Marriage certificate and divorce certificate
- Green card (the 10 years one) but also the expired one, and the work permit
- Proof of home purchase
- Electricity bill
What she looked at: - Only most recent tax return
- The passports
- Didn't care about SS, cause I'm also older than 31
- Didn't care about my marriage certificate nor divorce given the 5 years rule, although she did ask my current marital status
- Didn't look at the bills/deed.
After she asked me the questions/writing/reading, we went through all of the yes/no questions, and I was approved. She then took my green card, asked for the expired one, and if I had a work permit. All was handed over, and I got the 'you're approved' letter. Waited about an hour, and had the oath with 12 or so more people. Very painless and super easy. Now onwards to waiting 8-12 weeks for a passport, ha! Thanks everyone for all the help getting me here. You were all crucial for this success. Hope my experience helps! Best of luck
