I am preparing my husbands DS-5540 Public Charge form before our interview at the consulate. I would like to have a insurance quote with the document. Has anyone researched insurance plans that a new arrival to the USA can purchase? All the information I have found online seem to indicate that all he can get is short term travel insurance. Anyone purchased insurance yet or gotten any quotes for insurance regarding this? And which insurance provider did you use? Thanks!

Hello, has there been any news on when the State Department might allow Embassies to reopen around the world?

Just for clarity: I m not asking about a specific embassy but when the State department will allow embassies to reopen around the world .

My husband case is DCF in Egypt and we both live here and I ve had a hard time finding any information on what progress or steps or even discussion the State Department is taking/doing to allow embassies to reopen

Has anyone heard anything?

P.S. I hope I put this in the correct thread, please move if not.

My wife had her interview in early march. We had an argument in late April and she stabbed me in my leg with a kitchen knife. She was arrested and she has her first trial in July. I got her help and a lawyer and even though the initial charges are Domestic Violence & Assault with a deadly weapon, we are getting information that it might be reduced to a misdemeanor.

She still has not received any information regarding her oath ceremony being scheduled.

My questions is: Is she still able to continue her citizenship path and take the oath or will her naturalization case be denied? I read on USCIS website that she will have to declare any criminal charges or arrests ..etc at the oath ceremony.

I got a letter in the mail dated April 14. Requesting for more evidence (RFE) to remove conditions on my marriage based green card (I-751). It said must respond by July 10.

I haven't sent the RFE yet but I got an email today that my case has been processed! Did anyone go through this? Is that a denial? I thought I had more time. I have all the documents they wanted and was just waiting on my 2019 tax transcript from the IRS to show that we filed jointly.

Please I'm panicking. Did anyone experience something similar before?
