US Immigration from Egypt

Has anyone had any problems or heard of any problems of a spouse of a US Citizen on an IR1 visa transiting through Europe to travel to the USA? Any problems at either at the USA border or at any of the airports/transits in Europe? Thanks!

According to the proclamation Spouse of US Citizen is exempt. This is the president's proclamation https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/proclamation-suspension-entry-immigrants-nonimmigrants-certain-additional-persons-pose-risk-transmitting-2019-novel-coronavirus/

Below is from the proclamation stating alien spouses are exempt.

Sec. 2. Scope of Suspension and Limitation on Entry.

(a) Section 1 of this proclamation shall not apply to:

(i) any lawful permanent resident of the United States;

(ii) any alien who is the spouse of a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident;

Yesterday someone asked on the Cairo embassy s Facebook page if non immigrant visa interviews for November were being cancelled. Does anyone know about any K-1 interviews being scheduled for November? Maybe just wishful thinking on my part.

A friend of mine is traveling outside the US. His conditional green card has expired and he has an extension letter. When he fills out the additional info for the airline (which will be sent to TSA), should he use the actual expiration date on his green card or add 18 months ?

Anyone knows what exactly are the documents needed to bring to the post office to issue a minor child's US passport?

Please note the following:

1. The child is a legal permanent resident already residing in the US

2. The child's passport will be based on the naturalization of an LPR mother.

3. The child has been adopted by a US citizen step-parent.

4. The child's name has been changed (through a court order) due to adoption by a US citizen step-parent.

5. The child's Green Card, passport, admission visa and foreign birth certificate ALL show the child's PREVIOUS last name (which as changed by a court order). The child's social security card, dependent ID card, as well as the court order show the child's NEW last name. The child's FIRST name has NOT been changed. The Mother's name remains consistent on all the documents.

6. The child has been in the legal and physical custody of the LPR mother since birth

If anybody has an idea about this very particular situation, please let me know.
