Personal note: I'm finished with this infernal immigration process, but I clearly remember the trauma. I sincerely hope for rapid progress in your case. Even if I don't respond openly, I'm cheering loudly at your announcement of success.

Does Ecuador recognize dual citizenship? I've searched and found both yes and no answers so I'm just confused. I'd love to know for my husband (Ecua citizen looking at naturalization) and newborn son (born in US).

So we did our interview for the K1 visa years ago at the embassy in Guayaquil, Ecuador and ever since then I've been curious if our experience was normal. In the original interview we were asked for the date of when we started dating and since we are not big on that kind of thing, neither of us had an idea of the exact date and we just kind of looked at each other. That caused us to do a second round of separate interviews for them to compare our answers. During the separate interviews we were asked SUPER personal questions including when the last time we had sex was and if we had used a condom. In the moment I was really shocked and really uncomfortable, but answered anyway since I felt like the whole process was riding on it. Obviously we passed (here we are celebrating 8 years married tomorrow!) but I wanted to know if other people had this experience...
