US Immigration from Ecuador

Guys, I was wondering if any of you have gotten an interview for a resident visa based on marriage during the pandemic, specifically in Ecuador. If so, how long did it take for you to get the appointment after NVC approved all the documents? Any advice?

I was wondering about a detail by the moment I will get the interview at the embassy for my resident visa. I am in Ecuador and I read a document from the embassy in Guayaquil that states that my passport should be valid for at least 1 year at the day of the interview. Do you know if that is 100% necessary? It happens that my passport expires on October 2021. I am from Venezuela and it is extremly hard to get a new one or an extension of it.

Hi. I am going through a CR1 visa process with my husband, he is a American citizen and I am from Venezuela, both currently living in Ecuador. We already submitted civil documents and the DS-260 form on the NVC website. My husband does not have the minimum income to be my sponsor, so we talked to his father. He is willing to be my co sponsor, but my mother in law is not. Does she need to sign the affidavit of support too or can my father in law do it without her? They declare taxes together as a married couple.

The only other option we have is a cousin who is a paralegal. She has done this before but she does not want to upload all her personal information (taxes, prove of citizenship, etc) on the NVC website. Instead, she wants to mail it. My only worry is that the email NVC sent with the welcome letter states "DO NOT MAIL ANYTHING". I guess because the case is electronic. Would that be a problem? We have no more options .

I have a question regarding what number to put as my annual income on the I-864 affidavit of support. For context I was working for an organization until September of this year. Thus, from Jan-Sep of this I was receiving a set monthly salary from my former employer. However, I left the organization at the beginning of September and am now working as an independent contractor and therefore do not have a set monthly salary. I was advised not to put my annual income as it was under my former employer. What amount should I put?
