Hi Everyone, My husband and I have been married going on 3 years, his 2 year GC anniversary is coming due in Dec. He is working on the paperwork now, however he would like me to help him with his paperwork. The issue is while I am happy to help him complete the paperwork, I am apprehensive on filing jointly (signing), as him and I are on the verge of separation and divorce seems imminent. While we both really wanted this to work as we share a child together, we believe divorce may be the best option due to irreconcilable differences (mostly cultural related issues) how does that work in regards to his paperwork? I have tried looking (to very little luck finding the answer to my question), but I am curious what the form pertains to for the US spouse outside of stating the marriage is / was legit, and providing permanent residency for the immigrant for the next 10 years. Does signing this form lock me into being financially responsible for my husband for the remainder of his life? (I heard there was a change in the support portion going from 10 years which I signed when completing him coming here and his AOS to the immigrants remaining lifespan). I have read the form and the only options are divorce (divorce degree needed), death, or abuse. Beings none of these apply to us now, do I have to sign for him and if we divorce in between the time we file vs when he gets an answer just send in the decree and request a change? In signing the form, am I then signing being financially supportive of him again? He has a great job and can take care of himself. Any help or advice on similar situations are appreciated in advance. Just want to protect myself in the long run, rather get all of the facts vs hearsay. T.I.A.

Hello I have a friend outside of USA for more than 3 years and his permanent resident card expired around same time. He has been outside due to medical condition, his doctor told him he should not travel, but now he is okay to travel. Can anyone, please, tell me some advises about this. What is the best thing to do in this case. Expired Green Card for almost 3 years outside USA, due to medical condition, but okay to travel now. thanks

Hi! This week or the next we will be hearing back about my husband s interview date. (Timing is based by the nvc bulletin that updates weekly with the dates they are working on.) My question is, does anyone know how much time there is to wait from the time they give you your interview date up until the actual interview? Like how far out do they schedule the interview? Couple weeks? Couple months? Also, after the interview, (assuming all goes well) how long does it usually take to receive the actual visa? Have read several different articles and they all seem to say different. Trying to plan ahead a little if possible because my husband has a lot of things to sell and we will have to look for plane tickets etc. thanks in advance!

My wife entered the USA on March 5th 2020 as my fianc K1, 15 days later everything was closed in NY, and pretty much nationwide, city clerk was closed, we couldn t go to get married anywhere, later NY was accepting virtual marriage through the project Cupid , when I made the appointment they only have available for almost 2 months after, August 8th, which is already past 90 days timeline, we got married on that day, I called USCIS yo explain the situation, they subject me to file the AOS anyway, well I was worry but I did, yesterday was her interview, the officer told us that we got married after 90 days and that s a problem, he couldn t make a decision and the case must continue to see if there is a waiver, that we have to wait for a notice in the mail, I explained the reason why we got married late, it was out of our control, he agreed but same conclusion, also we have all in order, she is working paying taxes, never have an issue with the justice and we have a 2 months beautiful baby, I can t believe we have to go through this for something we couldn t prevented

I am at a loss for words my husband and I have file our I 751 and received our 3rd rejection notice in the mail. The second time we received the notice we saw exactly what we did and missed signing our signatures. However we see stamps on each page with no errors like we did before. Here is what we included: I751 form Pictures of our family together Front Back of his permanent resident card Copy of our tax returns 2019 and 2020 Copies of my passport and dates outside of the U.S. Marriage License Deed to our home Bank cashiers check of $680 His expires on October 31st; we initially filed in August, September, and the again in September. We are worried that if it gets rejected again he will not be able to drive because his license expires around the same date. What are we missing and how do we get a hold of someone from USCIS to see what we are doing wrong? The letters they send are exactly the same and brief.
