My fiance went for his medical exam at Servicios Consulares on Monday and he did not need any vaccinations for the interview. They did, however, say he will need a few more vaccinations when he comes to the US. Are these for AOS? It is also common to have to go back to pick up the medical results and then take them to the interview?

We just had our AOS interview. The officer was so rude to my husband. Was rushing us and basically screaming at him because the interpreter was not doing a good job. She didn t give us any papers just said to follow up if we don t hear anything in 120 days. My husband work permit will expire at the end of the month and I am worried he will get fired if there s a delay. We submitted for renewal prior to getting the interview date. We attended the New York City uscis office I am thinking of filing a complaint because of that officers attitude towards us. Anyone else interview in nyc and how long until we receive notice?

Hi, So... as the title states, our interview is Jan 15 and we weren't able to get an Affidavit of Support, my fianc (the petitioner) is currently unemployed and so am I. Our parents are supporting us until we move back to the U.S. together (he's living in my country at the moment), I was reading here that they haven't been asking for the Affidavit of Support in the interview at the Santo Domingo embassy. From experience, would the fact that the petitioner is unemployed trigger a request for an Affidavit of Support? Thanks in advance and if you have any questions to better help me, feel free to ask...

After 6 months of living here, my husband decided to unexpectedly leave. We would get into arguments because for some reason once he got here and I helped get him a job, bank account, etc, he became cold, distant, and uninterested in doing anything with me. Apparently he was able to buy a car without a license and he s living in it. He has also been trying to make things difficult for me like spreading lies, going to the police to say I didn t let him see his son which isn t true because he has never asked. It s been over two weeks and he hasn t seen him and I had to beg him to send money for our son. He s 20 months. He s made my life hell when he s the one who decided to leave us. That being said it looks like a divorce is what I ll have to do. Do I file for divorce here in the US or in the Dominican Republic, which is where we were married? Would I be able to ask for child support and sole physical and legal custody? He was only in our child s life for 6 months, and aside from that ive been taking care of him by myself for the other 14 months. Also, how would this affect his residency here in the US? Thanks in advance

Hi, I am currently a family of 4, fianc makes 5. Between my job salary and va disability I currently earn around $18,000 over the 100% requirement and around $11,000 over the 125% limit. These are obviously the easiest streams of income to show with evidence. I also receive child support from my ex husband. The child support would add another $10,000 to my income for the affidavit of support but I haven t found an answer for what evidence is accepted for child support as income. Does anyone know what evidence is accepted for child support as income? Do I even need to include it or would I be fine with just including my job salary and va disability? I ve seen sometimes they will ask for a co-sponsor if they petitioner is only a little over the limit but I haven t seen what they consider to be a little over. Thanks!
