Hello all, How long did you all wait to file for CR1 visa post marriage? My fiance and I will marry in Dominican Republic and plan to apply for CR1 visa immediately when I come back to USA. I am concerned for what evidence to include for bona fide marriage when we would have just gotten married and wouldn't have much evidence beside our marriage license. Any thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys, so I am new to this whole process and plan to bring my future spouse from Dominican Republic to USA. He already has a tourist visa (B2 visa I believe) and has traveled to USA many times before we even met. Will the fact that he has a tourist visa change the process to file for CR1 visa? Will it make a difference regarding timeline of paperwork approval? Thanks in advance

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has been able to schedule or reschedule a visa interview in Santo Domingo? I have called twice and have been told they are still not scheduling interviews since they do not know when they will be doing them. Although when I log into the ustravdocs site it showed me a box stating the next available interview appointment for this month. When I tried scheduling every date I picked said no availability and with the limited number of attempts I did not want to try again. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

My stepdaughter has an expired passport from another country. The passport is expired and she has never been to that country. I answered the question truthfully on the DS260 and wrote the expired passport number of the second country. My question is should we included a biographic page of that passport in other documents (it says "optional") even though it is expired? Her first passport in her country of birth is valid and we included the scan of the biographic page in the required documents of CEAC. Hope this question make sense. Have a great day!

Question. My step-daughter is 17. In the Dominican Republic, one must have an ID to get a police report and one must be 18 to receive an ID. We looked it up and a document from the US Embassy in Santo Domingo said that one must be 18 to obtain a police report but Travelstate.gov (official info for NVC) says a police report is required for everyone 16 and older. Has anyone run into this problem? What did you do. We need am answer quickly since we are submitting docs into CEAC.
