Hello VJ members, looking for anyone who's had a combo interview. I received interview date for N400 only but I'm assuming it'll be a combo to process the I-751 as well. Do I need to take my spouse to the interview or not? Thank you very much for any advice

Hello My fiance and I want to get married this year and because of our school/work schedules and the pandemic, we dont have too many options. I would like to visit him for the summer (either the travel ban will be lifted by then or I'd quarantine somewhere and then go), we would get married there and I'd go back home. My problem is, I'd like to stay for about 2 months (I'm a student, so I only need to be back in september), but we'd like to get married and start the immigration process asap. We've been together for 3 years, long-distance the entire time. Is it legal for him to send out the I-130 petition while I am still in the states on esta, when I would definitelly go back home later in the summer? Eg. I'd arrive at the beginning of July, we'd get married within a week, send the petition mid July and I'd go back home late August? Thank you

Hi, I have a kind of complicated question and I don't think I placed it in the right section, but I haven't found anything more suitable, so I will try it. I live in Florida on J1 visa and I have a fiance in Slovakia. I wanted my fiance to come to america and there is a J2 visa for spouses I thought I can get her. The thing is - I am from Czech, she is from Slovakia, we are both women, and we want to live in the USA. 1) Can we marry in Czech/Slovakia and still get a J2 or do we have to marry in america? 2) During COVID is there any chance to get visas? Or would that all have to wait when the borders are open again?

Dear all, I have question regarding my AOS application which I sent out last week. I am currently on J1 visa and I am married to my US citizen husband. Since I am on J1 visa, we summited in the I-485 package the most recent DS-2019, the most recent I-94 reflecting entry on J1, most recent j1 visa stamp reflecting that I was subjected to the two years HRR, and USCIS waiver approval for this two years home residency requirement. I realized later that USCIS is asking to submit all ever issued DS-2019, I-94, and J1 visa stamps if they are available. I am worried now if USCIS can denied my application because of this mistake. Thank you very much for your opinion.

Hi all, I am currently holding a J1 visa (research scholar) and applying for an adjustment of status in the immediate family category. First three year on my J1 visa, I was funded by the US government. Then I transferred to a different sponsor which is a non-profit organization - hospital (no home or U.S government funding was involved here, I am solely funded by a non-profit foundation, my country does not have a skills list). Because of the previous US government funding, I applied for a waiver based on no objection and was granted this waiver by DOS and USCIS (in the waiver application, I reflected my sponsor transfer and both sponsors). We included this waiver in the AOS package. My question is whether this waiver is a clear evidence for USCIS that I am eligible to adjust my status and I am free from the two years HRR or if this waiver is connected only to the sponsor with government funding and I should request Advisory opinion for my second sponsor to prove USCIS that there is no two years HRR tight to my second sponsor? I just want to be ready in case that I will receive RFE regarding that or I will be asked during the interview. Thank you very much.
