Hello everyone, I came to the US as an au pair (J1) in August 2017 and I moved from NY to Atlanta in December 2018. Since I extended my J1 visa for a year my visa was valid until end of August 2019, I applied to change status from J1 to B2, got it approved and applied for an extension which expires on 08/27/2020. I met my now husband in August 2019, but we weren t in a serious relationship back then. I moved in with him in March 2020 due to COVID-19 and we decided to get married later on. We ended up getting married on 07/07/2020 and have most of the forms ready. My question is, should we send everything before my visa expires on 08/27/2020 or is it ok if we send it later? The last time I entered the US was December 2018 so I m not worried about entering with an intent since we didn t know each other yet, but I am worried about overstay of my B2 visa. He is a US citizen who is just now filing his taxes so that s why we re running out of time. Please, let me know your thoughts!

Hey guys, I know there have been some rumours about the K1 visa interviews not being scheduled until the Schengen area is no longer under the travel ban to the U.S. Well, today I saw this video, QndA from U.S. embassy in Czech Republic (who is under the travel ban) as you can see, at 32 minutes into the video, she confirms embassy in Prague is indeed processing and scheduling interviews for K1 visa. That means that other embassies in other EU countries should follow in the future despite there being a travel ban or not!

Hello everyone, This is mostly directed at Czechs who are in binational relationship. About this document that was released on the 20th of July... (Unmarried couples - entry into the Czech Republic). It is almost impossible for binational couples to prove living in the same household. Which is the requirement and evidence they want us to send. Statement, copy of my passport, joint photos is what is usually needed for Denmark but Czech Republic demands a proof of a share household which is not possible unless you are married. Yet they call this "Unmarried couples, entry to CR". To me, it seems like a big load of BS. Did anyone sent an email to them and got a response without having shared household? It really baffles me that it's so difficult for this goverment to just adapt what Norway, Denmark, Austria etc. did and instead they still make it impossible for UNMARRIED EU/US couples.

Hi all, My wife had her citizenship interview this morning at 10AM at the Greer, SC field office. She passed her interview and civics and reading/writing tests with no problem. When we started to leave they told us to hang out for a few more minutes. Another lady was just finishing up her interview. About 10 minutes later they called my wife and this other lady back and the lady at the reception desk called me over and had me look back through the glass. My wife and this other lady were taking their Oath. While it certainly wasn't the big ceremonies you see on TV, I was just as proud. Our long journey is finally over. I sincerely have to Thank the mods and admins here on VisaJourney. Honestly I don't know if I could have gotten us through this whole process from K-1 to Citizen without you folks. God bless you all and may you keep doing what you do for a very long time.
