EXTREME

I know this question may have been asked a million times before, but I am new to all this and would like to find out if there's anything I can do to speed up the process? I sent in my I-129F packet with everything that was required and even a few extras.. I received my NOA-1 a few days later, and it's been over 4 months now without any information from USCIS... what should I do? is there a time frame that USCIS needs to follow to let you know that they are still working on your case? believe I read something about 60 days before you can talk to someone, but who can I talk to when all I get is a recording? Please help me.

Thank you.

Hello!

Please help. We have been waiting a year and a half for our interview. We are finally here, as our interview was scheduled for yesterday. We had to travel super far and spend everything we have to get here. My fianc is Cuban and we had to travel to Guyana for our interview. We have been here over a week already since we had to be here early for the medical exam. I have already taken 2 weeks off work (1 unpaid). When we showed up to our interview yesterday they had us waiting an agonizing 3 hours before they told us the NVC never sent the approved copy of our I-129 and then told us that we d have to come back and they d be in touch via phone or email in the next few days. I haven t stopped crying. We have all required documents and more and have done our due diligence, waited forever and spent more than we have, only to be told they screwed up on their end. I have no idea where to go from here or what to do. We are going to show up early at the embassy tomorrow and try to get some answers, but I m terrified they won t help us. What can we do?

My question is for booking flights being that Cuban beneficiaries do petitioners have to travel to another embassy. How far in advance would you say is needed to be in Guyana and how many days after the interview does one need to stay in Guyana I m just wanting this information in planning ahead when interview appointment is set.

Buena/Hello

My question for this forum would be around the medical exam. Being that my fianc currently resides in Cuba and has to got to another embassy in Guyana due to the closing of the embassy in Havana, Where would my fianc need to conduct his Medical Exam prior to interview?

Hello All,

My fianc is from Havana, Cuba and we received our case number letter from NVC on 01.09.20. The only instructions provided thus far are the below:

Next steps:
Go to our website http://nvc.state.gov/k1 to learn how to apply for a K visa and prepare for the visa

We know our case will be handled via U.S. Embassy for Cuba in Guyana and have thoroughly read their vague instructions on their website but it does not instruct whether or not a secondary instructional letter will be forthcoming with guidance as to schedule the embassy interview on our own through https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gy/niv or to wait for the appointment scheduling letter.

There is ALOT of confusing and dated information on their website. Some that make us feel we should fill out the DS-160 form and just schedule the interview via the Guyana Official U.S. Department of State Visa Appointment Service, and other information like on this website https://gy.usembassy.gov/visas/nonimmigrant-visas/ that provide all this information with steps to then say all the way towards the bottom:

Please Note

If you are applying for a K1 (fianc ) or K3 visa, please do not use the Non-Immigrant Visa Appointment System to schedule an appointment. You will receive specific appointment scheduling instructions via letter or e-mail from the Consular Section.

Furthermore, I have read countless articles on this forum that are even more confusing as I understand different cases/countries vary. But I still can't seem to find my answer and I've emailed NVC and no one has responded yet (so unprofessional!!)

If there is anyone that has dealt with a similar Cuban K-1 Visa Case within 2019-2020, kindly please assist with guidance on the timeline and steps after receiving case number from NVC. Do we just go ahead and schedule on our own or is there a letter that we should be waiting for?

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

JH
