I know it might be different depending on the country but i figured i would ask. My fiance has been collecting legal documents birth certificates, police reports, divorce decree etc...

Is it required for these legal documents to be notarized to be valid.

Fiance lives in Cuba if that helps.

I managed to get our date via the online chat but the letter may have been lost by USPS. I'm curious to see what it says you should bring.

I received the notice from the NVC about transferring my petition. Is this the usual wording?

This is what the letter says: "NVC will now forward the petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in Georgetown., Guyana. Please note that the transfer process can take several weeks. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate will contact your fianc (e)/spouse when they are ready to process his or her petition."

Is this their usual wording? Or is the "can take several weeks" due to COVID? I've heard usually after you receive that it only takes a week and then you can schedule your interview.

Also, I need to wait to be contacted to schedule my interview? That says my fianc will be contacted, but I thought I was the one that would be contacted.
