US Immigration from Croatia

Has anyone that had interview right after the shut down until it re opened actually had their new interview date re-scheduled? Or anyone that has been in full stop from Interview ready to be schedule since April gotten any updates? For Detroit field office asking not in general.

We filed for AOS from K1 in late August 2019. We had an RFE for my financial records and everything was changed to ready to be scheduled for interview in May. We never had an interview scheduled but just got an update that our interview was canceled. Have other couples had this lead to a green card without an interview? Or is this more likely that they sent this cancelation update and we ll have to keep waiting and hopefully get an interview scheduled in the near future...? We re in NYC so the wait times are over a year here.

I hope someone can help me understand why uscis case been open for almost 2 months here in Mi and i m not seeing anyone getting their interview re-scheduled or scheduled in general? my case was ready to be scheduled for an interview may and still no news or nothing. Hope someone knows anything!

Our I-129F petition was approved 2 months ago but like so many of you it is now stuck at the NVC. I sent my fianc 's embassy in Croatia an email asking about when we can reasonably expect processing to resume, and I received a response saying they will "not process immigrant visas including K1 until July 1st, provided there will be no other presidential proclamations in regard with temporary cessation of immigrant visa processing". That to me reads as if they treat K1 non-immigrant visas as immigrant visas, and the presidential proclamation is in fact *the* reason they won't process our case at the embassy, and not merely due the pandemic.

Some lawyers say K-1 applicants are exempt from the PP, others say they're not. We don't know who to believe at this point.

What have your personal experiences been? Have any of you gotten word from your respective embassies regarding the reason for why they're not processing your fianc 's visa, and whether it is solely due to the pandemic, or the presidential proclamation?

I think this would be beneficial information for all of us K1 applicants to know

Hi everyone,

My husband came on a K-1, we were married in August 2019 and submitted his AOS application along with work/AP combo card. It was received 9/2/19 and his fingerprints have been updated since early October. We ve still heard nothing about his combo card. We submitted an inquiry because we re outside the window... is there anything else we can do to speed this up? The USCIS phone agents are unhelpful.

It s bad enough he can t work for almost a year and we re in the middle of a pandemic but we re also supposed to go to Croatia Sept to have our church ceremony. Without the AP he can t leave the country, even if everything turns out to be safe.

Any constructive advice our community can offer would be appreciated.
