Admins - please move if not posted in the correct place. I am trying to help a family friend. They are adjusting from a B2. The mother's application has already been accepted and is being processed, but the minor child's keeps getting rejected. When it was first filed (with the mother's applications), it was filed with the 485, 864 and the 944 but it was rejected with the same letter below. They also tried the 485 and the 864 (no 944), then they tried the 485 and 944 (no 864). Looking through the instructions they do not appear to qualify to file the 864 EZ. Maybe USCIS made a mistake the first time and what should be filed is the 485, 864 and 944? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We are filing the form I-129F and there s Not enough suplemental boxes to include addresses of work history and where I ve lived also these addresses are too long so they don t fit, how should I approach this? On the supplental page there s not enough space either since there are several addresses. Would it be okay to add another sheet and how should we title it?

Help with RFE (I-864) |

Hi Guys, We are in the process of obtaining a GC for my mother-in-law (my wife has her citizenship). We got an RFE because when we filled out the original I-864 as my wife being the sponsor but listed me as a source of income. (My wife is a stay at home mom). The RFE is asking for an I-864 for me as my income is the income being used. However the RFE specifically asks that both the sponsor (my wife) and the family member (me) to sign the I-864. I do not see anywhere where that is possible. Any ideas? TIA CCE07102020_0001.pdf

Hi! I have a few questions about this process as I've been doing research and the answers seem to differ. 1. Does the form I-134F (Affidavit of support) extrictly requires the wet signature from my fianc e when I take it with me (beneficiary) to the interview or could it be scanned and I can print it? 2. Is it okay if my fianc e scans the full package and I take it printed with me to the interview? 3. How should we input addresses from my country Costa Rica and in what language? Addresses here are somewhat confusing because we do not have street numbers/names, our addresses are like "from X supermarket 100 meters north, 50 meters west, white house with black gate". Any help is appreciated! Thank you so much.

Should We Include These Pieces of Evidence? |

Hi, guys. My husband and I are running late (last few days before his GC expires -- yes, I know it was not wise) getting our evidence turned in, and I am panicking a little bit about feeling like we don't have enough. It's weird ... we were so busy building a life together that we didn't do as much documenting as we feel we need -- we share a bank account, rent, and utilities, get mail to the same address, etc., but do not have documentation of owning a house together or anything like that. We have been trying to make ends meet and moving across the country together, so taking vacations and going to concerts and stuff didn't happen, and we can't present that kind of documentation. We do own two old cars together, but neither are registered would it be okay to include that? We bought another, much more expensive, much newer car together for his work (I've only driven it once or twice, because I work from home and trust his driving much more when we go out for other things) but it's a loan in only my name as his credit was not well established enough to be put on it, and our state does not allow me to write his name on the title. We were looking at what other options there were for evidence, and we see that we can include being each other's power of attorneys for all medical and financial matters. We actually think both of those things are really good ideas, anyway, and we should have gotten them done regardless. The question is, if we do them at the last minute and include them in the packet, will that be worse than not including them at all because it will make us look fake? Thank you!
