Hi! We received RFE because my fiance is registered in USA as John Smith ( 1 last name) and in CR , he is registered as John Smith Perez (2 last names). They are requesting evidence to prove that John Smith and John Smith Perez are in fact, just one person. RFE letter states: " Evidence of name change may include but is not limited to: government issued identification containing a photo for each name; birth certificate; marriage certificate; divorce decree; death certificate (of the spouse whose name you used); adoption decree; or court order. The evidence must be registered with a civil authority" We are wondering if it is enough just to send the copy of his Costa Rican ID (that includes his photo) along with his US passport bio page to prove it is in fact the same person or if we need any other documentation. Thanks

If you hold a conditional 2 year green card (based on marriage), do you still need to renew your work permit? The work permit is expiring soon, but the green card is valid until April 2022. Im thinking it s not necessary because the green card is the ultimate permission granting you to work but I wanted to double check. Anyone know for sure?

Hi there, just trying to get some input from people who have gone through this before. I live in Tulsa, OK. & my fianc e is in San Jos , Costa Rica. We filed our I-129F petition in March of this year & they sent a receipt number on 3/19/20 stating the received our case. It is still in that status & hasn t changed, neither have I received anything regarding any updates or needing of add l proof. It may be due to covid but am just wondering if this is normal? Thanks!

Hello, My fianc e just received a text regarding the I-797 USCIS: Your case was received. *receipt #* Official receipt notice (I-797) to follow in mail. So, I was doing research and saw the I-797 is the approval (is it the NOA1 or 2? I m not sure.) they received our package on Sept 23rd, I m just confused because we got the text so quickly after they received the petition. What comes next? And how long are K-1 issuers waiting now to be scheduled an interview?
