US Immigration from Colombia

Hi all,

My fianc e (Colombia) and I (USA) are considering getting married ceremonially and setting a date in August, 2024. Has anyone tried this and will this affect our ongoing K1 visa petition? Should we consider doing this in the US on her tourist visa and then come back to Colombia while we wait for approval if we haven't received it by then or would it be better to simply do it in Colombia and finish the legal aspect in the US upon approval?

Could anybody tell me the documents to upload to ceac to support the form I-864. I uploaded the following:

• Form I-864 (signed)
• Certificate of naturalization
• Tax Return Transcript

I received a message saying: "This upload contains two documents that must be uploaded separately, or you submitted this document as the wrong Document Type. Please delete the uploaded document and submit the document under the correct Document Type"

Am I missing something? because I do not understand what it is that I uploaded wrong. As always, thank you for your help

My fianc e was approved on august 28 at the Bogota embassy for the k1 visa. Her status changed to issued on the ceac website the next day. On September 2 she received a phone call informing her that an anomaly happened during a search of her name and dob and that her dob on all her documents was incorrect. Instead of 1984 it should be 1985. Her status in ceac still says issued and we have had no further contact with the embassy. To this date we have not received the passport back. I have emailed the embassy with no response. Has anyone heard of something like this happening and what was the eventual outcome?

Has anyone every been successful in getting a military dependent ID card for their wife without a SSN?

I would like for her to get something after she enters in on a CR1 visa.

Wait time for an SSN number varies to much. To much uncertainty.

I hope you are doing well. I am a US LPR, and recently I found out I am pregnant. My due date is scheduled for April next year. However, my husband is a first responder, and We are not 100% Sure that he would be able to take care of me and the Baby immediately.

My parents live in Colombia, and the situation there to obtain a tourist visa has become worse, I have been waiting for them to get a visa for approximately 1 year. My mom still has to wait until July 2024 to get an appointment.

Is it child birth and assistance a valid reason to request an expedite US Visa appointment via Medical Emergency of a close relative?

I am currently gathering all medical information and notes from my OBGYN stating pregnancy conditions and due date to request this. Any help or tip is greatly appreciated.
