My Colombian fianc is currently visiting me in the US (Atlanta) on her tourist visa to plan our wedding. We have been navigating our way through the K-1 visa process and our petition is approved, but we re waiting on the embassy in Colombia to send her the packet/interview materials. Her flight home is April 1 (day 80 of the 90 days she can be here). Our wedding is tentatively scheduled late June, but that is increasingly less likely given the fact that the embassy has now cancelled any non-emergency visa interviews until further notice. We re very worried that all flights will be cancelled and she won t be able to leave the country before the 90 days is up (April 11). What should we do? Should we get married ASAP and file AOS before the 90 day mark? Is it even possible in this amount of time? In addition to being nervous about the potential visa fraud/permanent issues getting a visa, we don t even know when the courthouse will be open or if we can get the additional forms filed in time. It was certainly not our intent to get married during this trip, but she did come on a tourist visa. I m waiting to hear back from my immigration attorney, but any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hello! Please advise if there is a protocol on asking random questions on this site! I just am creating new threads via the forum. On the I-130 form, it asks for my US citizenship and I am going to provide copies of my passport. Are copies of all pages required? And are there copy requirements? Like do they need to be copied at 150%? Just to confirm, we have to just provide COPIES of everything for this I-130 form, correct? Thank you, Angell

Was wondering if I, as the petitioner, could attend my fianc s K1 interview at the embassy in Bogota? If so, what can I expect from it and what can I do during it?

My fianc had her interview December 13 2019 in Bogota. They kept her passport and Ask for police record when she lived in Chile (221g) She emailed them a day later and got an emailed that it was received November 15. It has updated a few times and last time was February 11 2020, Does anyone have an idea how much longer we got or what we can do? Or what can my lawyer do to get an answer?

Good Day! So I am petitioning my spouse who lives in Colombia. Married in Aug 2019 and first met in late 2018. Before getting married we went on a trip together, but besides that we haven't had the opportunity to spend a lot of time in person. When putting together my I-130 I put as many photos as possible of our trip together and wedding. Also, I included documents such as passport stamps and receipts showing our trip together, marriage and honeymoon. Also included a an actual wedding invitation as well as copies of two statements from her family vouching that we have a legitimate relationship. I am learning Spanish and she is learning English which makes our text message trail hit and miss. We text all the time and I have hundreds of megabytes of Whatsapp conversations. I didn't include any of this in my case initially given the mixed languages; but now i'm beginning to worry that I should have included it. Given this do you think it would be worth taking samples from our conversation and having them translated and then submit it on the USCIS website under "UNSOLICITED INFORMATION" (see below)? It obviously states that they don't necessarily have to take it into account. Has anyone ever had this help their case, am I overreacting or should I just wait for their response if any further evidence is required? Thanks so much!!
