Hello everyone, I have been trying to find an answer online for this but it seems so rare that I can t. My fianc and I sent a personal cheque payment with our petition to USCIS, we ve received our NOA2 approval notice and are onto the Consulate portion, but I realized that USCIS never cashed our cheque payment for the USCIS filing fee. What should I do? I m worried this may affect our petition approval with the consulate or furthering the application? Has this happened to anyone else? Thank you for any help or insight!

Crossing the land border with/without the GC Extension letter and Valid Nexus |

Hey folks, So just wanted to report in some of my experiences of crossing the border by land with an I-751 pending. I got the 48 month extension letter shortly after I applied and hit the Nexus office to get my profile updated. Once my GC expired, I continued to cross as normal with my expired GC and Nexus and I wasn't asked for my extension letter for the first 10-15 crossings after it expired. So I stopped bothering to bring the extension letter, it's pretty flimsy and crossing the border several times a week, it's already getting pretty bent and dogeared up. So I started leaving it at home, for the first few months, no issues, crossed into the US as normal. Then this past week they've started mentioning my GC is expired and asked for the extension letter, even though my GC shows as valid in my nexus profile. The CBP lady was very stern and threatened me with a $548 fee if I cross again without the extension letter, she said she gave me a 'one time pass' this time. Anyways, I've since started carrying it through again and the subsequent entry they checked it again, but I don't know how long this letter going to last. Given I work up in Canada and cross a lot, I need durable travel documents, and the extension letter is anything but that. Anyways, I'm minded to self-file a WoM given igoyougoduke's success, just to get the 10 year GC which won't fall apart on me. xD Anyways, I'm curious to hear your stories of travelling by land with the extension letter. Do CBP check yours? Was having your Nexus updated enough to go without it? Also curiously, the CBSA still think my GC is expired, and occasionally when I cross they mention 'oh you have an expired immigration document on your profile', I explain to them the ridiculousness of the I-751 and they let me through without hassle. It's interesting that the CBSA even care that a Canadian citizen's foreign immigration document is expired but w/e I guess.

Hello, im using a co-sponsor who has filed their 2022 taxes with their spouse. Do I have to get tax info from that spouse as well as the other I-134 supporting documents, or will just having the co-sponsors documents and I-134 be enough?

My 20-year-old fianc (peitioner) has autism and works in a family-owned business where his uncle and dad are co-owners. He recently took on the role of a sales manager assistant to financially support us once our I-129F is approved. Despite going to work, he struggles to function effectively due to his autism, leading to irregular sleep patterns, uncontrollable bursts of energy, and difficulty to socialize, etc. These challenges can potentially cause financial problems down the line. Throughout his life, his mother has been his primary caregiver. However, her health conditions, including RA, immune disease, and cancer, now limit her ability to care for him. His father, occupied with a full-time job elsewhere, also cannot provide the needed care. His siblings are unwilling to assist. During my visits, I assumed the role of caretaker, witnessing a positive change in his motivation, sleep schedule, work, and overall functioning. Sadly, our long-distance relationship prevents my constant presence, given my full-time job to secure resources for his support upon my arrival. He possesses prior records confirming his disability, obtaining a note from his mother affirming his need for caregiving is feasible, and an employment letter stating his challenges at work highlighting potential future financial loss. I deeply love him and am committed to caring for him regardless of the circumstances, as I believe that's a fundamental aspect of marriage supporting each other through all stages of life. Do the factors mentioned above justify an expedite request for our I-129f?

Mailing Civil Documents - Photocopy paper sizes |

I have to physically mail the Civil Documents to NVC. Everything is Letter sized paper which is fine, except for my Birth Certificate, which is Legal length. If I shrank the Legal size to fit on Letter paper, do we think NVC will give me trouble, or should it be fine since it's a photocopy anyway? I figure it's easier for them to scan everything (and easier for me to ship) if it's all consistent in Letter paper. I know I'm totally overthinking it!
