Hello! Our documents are all "accepted"-- however, they left us a "case FE review note" for additional documents- the US petitioner's (a citizen) divorce certificate and 2018 tax return. I submitted them and am wondering when they will get reviewed. I am worried we will be sent to the back of the line again, having to wait another 3 months for our documents to be reviewed. Because these are additional documents and not core documents, do they review them right away? I really hope so because we have already been set back 3 months due to the wrong "police certificate" being submitted (in Canada they want a "certified criminal record check" not a police certificate at all! So annoying!) We submitted our 1-130 in December last year-- it was accepted in August. We still haven't had our interview scheduled. This process has been painfully slow.

I just completed my Green Card interview in NYC yesterday. I didn't bring my original birth certificate with me (my parents have it in a different country), and it didn't state on the letter to bring the original. The interviewer gave me a hard time about it, and said that she would need to alert her supervisor to make a final decision. She gave me a notice saying they will let me know within 120 days. I got an email today saying: "On December 19, 2019, we approved your Form I130, PETITION FOR ALIEN RELATIVE" Does this mean I passed my green card interview? I'm kind of confused as it doesn't specifically say I passed an interview, or will be receiving my green card in the mail.

Hey guys! I am brand new to the k1 process and will be filing my I-129f paperwork next month. =] I just got into doing concrete a few years ago and have been switching to different companies each year it seems. I was mostly wondering if my spotty work history will have an effect on my Affidavit of Support. I've made more then the income requirements each year but I'm worried that not having a stable job will get us denied. Has anyone else dealt with this or know anything about it and could give me some peace of mind?

Hey there! I'm new to all of this and was curious if the president gets impeached will it effect the process of our k1 visa petition? Or will it effect my fiances ability to travel to the US from Canada?

My fianc and I are at the interview stage of our k-1 Visa journey. We just need to complete our ds-160 application and then we can set up our interview date in Montreal Canada . With that being said here is my dilemma. I recently lost my job last month and so I went to Canada to spend the rest of our k-1 visa time over there until he gets his visa. We did not submit our packet 3 information and ds-160 application yet because we just found out that I am pregnant. Now my fianc and I are thinking it s best financially to withdraw our application and for him to remain in Canada to work and I will go back to the USA to find a job and have the baby there. If he continues on with the K1- Visa and comes to the US he won t work until his status is adjusted and gets the work permit and I feel like that will be hard on both of us once the baby comes. So my question is, if we withdraw our application at the final interview stage will it affect our later applications? Will the USCIS ask for reasoning as to why we never went through with the K1-Visa when we apply for the spousal visa in the future?we are planning to wait until he gets a visitor Visa to come to the USA then get married. This way he can visit me in the USA on that visitor visa the first year. Then we will apply for a spousal visa for him to come to the USA. That way by the time he is approved for it we would have been married for 2 years and he can get his permanent green card instead of a 2 year conditional green card. I m looking for any advice on this situation. Is withdrawing too risky?
