US Immigration from Canada

Any residents or citizens in this group from NY State being affected by this new mandate from DHS? Hoping that this gets overturned

I filed online ~1:40am CET, and after submitting, i saw that the submission date was set as the day before.

My "snap shot" and "date received" is the right date, but the "priority date" as well as the payment receipt says the day before.

I saw previous cases from 2018 and 2019, some people said their cases were denied, and some people said that their cases went by "date received".

(I did use the online messaging system to reach out to USCIS, but so far no response. )

Does anyone have more up to date information on this?

I m (hopefully) about to finally done my CR1 process and my husband is having a terrible time finding a health insurance that will cover both of us plus our baby due in March that won t break the bank. He was looking at a gold plan but he found out something about since we both make a certain amount of money, the plan went from costing 280 a month to 700. If anyone has any advice at all, I would be forever grateful!

So we filed for the removal of conditions of my husband's green card in November of 2018. He had his biometrics appointment in October 2019. Noticed that our case status was updated to this today, so I guess no interview? Are we almost there??? :D

I spoke to my manager today and he wants me to stay on as an employee or a contractor if possible, at least during the transition time. I will speak with HR soon and maybe legal, but I feel like this is one of those cases where not many people know.

It is a Canadian company that has locations internationally. It's an acquisition-based company and my department/division are in Canada and I would be helping them out only.

(I am asking this in the Canada discussion board since it is a Canadian employer but I understand if it has to be moved to a better area)
