Hi All, I'm a current resident of Canada and a new member to this forum. After a 2 year long process, I finally received my Immigrant Visa as part of my returned passport. The Expiry date is August 24, 2020 (6 months after my medical) The question I have is, I'm planning on flying to Florida in the first week of April (Hopefully) But only for 10 days as a planned visit and back. Would there be an issue with returning back to Canada and then planning my eventual departure in the summer? Would I need to obtain a visitor visa?? Clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Folks, After a long wait since my interview, USCIS finally approved my case N400 and scheduled my oath ceremony on Mar 19, at Los Angeles. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Governor Newsom has called to cancel or postpone any public gathers with 250 people and more. I have a feeling that all oath ceremonies in March will be cancelled and postponed. I thought my immigration road would finally be over but I might be stuck at the last step. Such a bad timing. I wish they could do virtual oath ceremonies, given a lot of universities have already made their classes online.

We received text and mail confirmation about all of our AOS applications received and being processed. Now we are waiting for the mail saying when the biometrics will be. QUESTION : Now that we are in the system with MSC numbers, are we able to call our local office and find out when the biometrics is scheduled for? Or even request an earlier appointment? Planning a family vacation and want to make sure we plan around biometrics. THANK YOU!!!

I lived in the US from 2014-2019. I still have my 10 yr green card and just crossed into the US to visit. The customs officer told me to go to a USCIS office and apply for a travel document so I don't lose my green card incase I want to apply for citizenship. I assumed I would have to give up my green card at the border. Is citizenship still a possibility? I moved away 10 months ago. The only reason I didn't apply before we left was because my husband had a job offer in Canada and we left quicker than originally planned.
