CR1 to AOS - Canadian in the US - Thoughts

I apologize if this has already been asked and if it's in the wrong forum. I'm trying to find some specific advice/answers.

Background:
I'm a US citizen and my husband is Canadian. We have been going down the CR1 route and are currently waiting for DQ (we submitted our documents on January 30th). Canada (before COVID-19) had a 3-5 month wait from DQ to the interview letter. So we were already looking at August IF we got DQ early next month. Now with everything being shut down, who knows how long that would take?

On February 18th, my husband came down to the US with the intent to visit for 5 months. He told border control about his visit and his return date (we have a return ticket booked for July 30th).

However, now with everything going on, we are contemplating the AOS route. But I'm not sure if we're able to or not or how the process really works when we're already this far. When I search for it, I just see so many people saying it's visa fraud. So I have some questions:

1.) Are we able to go with the AOS since he didn't come down here with the intent of doing this?
2.) We already have the I-130 approved, does this speed the process up at all or are we not allowed to go with AOS as we're too far into the CR1 process? What is the approximate timeline if we already have I-130 approved?
3.) Since he will likely be overstaying his 6 month allowance in the States, will he get in trouble for overstaying while we wait for AOS?
4.) Would he be able to travel within the US while waiting for AOS? (We have a trip planned for late October)?
5.) Where do the interviews take place, does each state have a location or is specific consulates (like how Canada only has Montreal).?

Financially, it doesn't really make a difference to us either way. He doesn't have a job in Canada. If anything, him staying here would be cheaper for us in the long run. It would probably be a tough decision for us to make since we are so far into the CR1 process. But I just can't imagine him going back in July and having to wait another 6-10 months for an interview. It would be different if Canada didn't have such a backlog as it was.

Thanks for any advice & guidance you can provide!

Hi, I am currently in India for a family emergency with an Emergency travel document issued by local USCIS office Valid till April 11, 2020. I had my return ticket booked for April 8, 2020 directly from New Delhi to SanFrancisco. Because of situation due to Coronavirus Airports are shut down in India and not sure when they will resume operation normally. My flight has also been cancelled. What can I do in this case? I just spoke to USCIS Contact center but they said they can t do anything and suggested me to speak o CBP.

FYI my I-485 along with I-131 is still pending. Finger prints were taken about 3 months ago

Hi there not considering the current situation with Covid-19 what is the total wait time generally from submitting all required documents to NVC to getting a DQ to receiving and interview date?

Thanks in advance.

NOA2 still being issued?

Hey all, quick question.

My husband and I filed an I-130 together.

With the embassy closures, are they still issuing NOA2's to those who are waiting, or have they halted all processes? I noticed some timeline updates that people have gotten their NOA2 but the last one I see is from March 17th. I'm just wondering if I should still expect our NOA2 to come at the end of the year or if it'll be longer. Thanks!

Licensed Healthcare Worker in the USA: EAD Expedite?

Hi All,

I know these are some scary and unprecedented times for many of us, especially those of us going through immigration and away from our families at home. My current situation is this; I've applied for an AOS from F1 through marriage to a USC. We've received our NOA for the I-485, I-130, I-131, and I-765. We have not completed biometrics as of yet. Our NOA came just a little too late for us to squeak in before the 03/18 closings.

My OPT EAD has been issued and I have a job lined up (related to my degree) starting in April, that will hopefully be unaffected by the current climate. I have an SSN. With that said, I'm also a health care worker with a currently active license in the USA. Until now, I've strictly volunteered in this capacity, but with the current climate it will be all hands on deck soon. We've recently moved to a new state, and there are no volunteer opportunities in this capacity in our area. My degree is in Molecular and Cell Biology, and I'm sure people who are more creative than I could find a connection between that degree and working in health care (work on OPT has to be directly related to the degree), but in the interest of honesty I'm not sure I'm willing to do that.

Many of you are much more experienced in this than I am; is there any way to request an EAD expedite under these circumstances? This is less about the being paid and more about stepping up for my community in the coming weeks.

Thank you!!
