US Immigration from Canada

Hi all

we have a joint sponsor whose current annual income meets the requirements but last year was not enough due to an injury which prevented them from working although the previous 2 years met the requirements! I wanna add the petitioner met the requirements in the last filed tax year but has taken 2019 off due to remaining abroad with spouse. Does anyone have input on this should we secure a different sponsor?

I'm curious if there's a time limit on getting the interview after your petition gets approved. There is no way for us to get interviews or flights to the US but they're still processing petitions/applications it seems.

We just sent in our petition for a k1 fiance visa about a month ago and are waiting on an approval or our first RFE. I'm wondering if they're holding off on processing till everything clears up because if we get approved we won't even be able to get the medical or do an interview.

Also she works at a high risk area and we're concerned that if she catches it and actually survives then would the US even let her in to visit me when the border opens up again? Or even worse would that prevent her from being able to immigrate here?

Hey all! I'm wondering if any of you had any luck applying for a SSN via mail/getting through to an agent over the phone at a social security office in California?

I'm well aware that with the DS260 they ask if you want an SSN, I did select yes. I'm also aware that they actually submit an application for your SSN at the POE about 50% of the time, regardless if you said yes on the DS260.

Like many of you who've recently immigrated, I'm in need of my SSN for multiple things. I immigrated less than a week ago, so I'll be patient and see if it will come in the mail.

So many of us are in the same boat -- needing in person office appointments.

I know all of our crystal balls are very cloudy right now, but do those of you who watch and know this closely have an opinion on when USCIS offices will open? (I am especially wondering about ASC and biometrics).

Specifically -- It feels like Monday the 30th could be a day that the Federal Gov't wants to reopen businesses (just basing this on Trump's comments today of the cure not being worse than the problem itself). And Monday the 30th most certainly will be a day that the Democratic governors of hard hit states like CA, NY, WA want to keep things closed.

If there is a clash between Federal and State, who would control when field offices open? The States or the Fed?
