Hello, Has anyone filed their I-765 (application for EAD) before getting married and applying for AOS? I understand if this is done, one has to pay the $410 fee in advance or request it to be waived. Just wondering if this is generally admitted. Do you know how to request fees being waived? I am thinking of filing I-765 and then paying the fees later, with I-485/AOS application. It might not be worth it, but for us as long as we're not married - with the current crisis we can't get a priest to officiate our wedding until churches re-open - we can't file for AOS. Perhaps being able to work even remotely here in the U.S. in the meantime could help. Thank you for sharing your experience if you have any insight! Sincerely Jules and Mary

I received an email March 7th saying, The national visa center (NVC) has received your approval immigrant visa petition from U.S citizenship and immigration services. Before NVC can schedule your visa interview, you need to complete the following steps: Step 1; Pay fee Step 2: Complete an immigrant visa (IV) application (form DS-260) Step 3: Submit require financial and civil documents. My question is, how much time do we have to complete the 3 steps if any? Because with that coronavirus everything is slowing down and I'm scared if I pay the fees there is a limit date to send the forms after.

Hi- I read in this forum somewhere that you can indicate "will bring 2 passport photos to interview" rather than actually uploading the photos in to CEAC? Is this correct? Can someone confirm this? Thanks,

Hey guys, I moved to the US in 2019. In 2018 my wife and I filed taxes seperatly as I not a us resident. But i still filled taxes with IRS (for 2018) showing I had no income because my accountant said I should as in prior years we had filed jointly. But for 2019 we already filled out taxes jointly and received our refund. Will we received $1200 or 2400 through the stimulus package? One of my cowroker were saying we wont get 2400 as we did not file taxes jointly for the year 2018? Thank you!

Hello, I need to get my criminal check done in Toronto, but I'm concerned that everything's been shut down due to COVID-19. My local police station is not allowing anyone in. Has anyone tried to get theirs done recently? I'm going to try calling around tomorrow to see if any of the third party places are open.
