Hi, I have a conditional greencard through spouse sponsorship and will have to apply in February 2021 for removal of condition. 1. I realized that the Covid-19 pendamic is not sth that will go away anytime soon and I need to know if travel to Canada ( reasons: my kids are still there and I feel that more than ever, they need my support in this difficult time..plus, have a family rental house that need some attention and maintenance, taking care of some tenancy issues.. etc...) could create problem for me when coming back in a say, 3-4 months. I may be asked to be self-quarantined for two weeks at my arrival in Canadain airport as well as in my return at the US airport. That wouldn't be an issue. Do I need to have concern forcmyvretirn back in US now that the Canada- US boarder is closed? 2. I am not sure my Iranian origin could create any possible problem for my return back in US if it will still be during the pendamic in a 3-4 months period? We had a lot of Iranian green card holder cases that were not allowed back in US in January 2020 when the pendamic had just started. Do I need to be concerned about that? Any feedback would be quite appreciated.

Hi. I have a conditional green card through spouse sponsorship and will be two years in Feb 2021. I will have to apply for removal of condition by then. I was wondering if I would be considered public charge in case I apply for UE due to Covid-19? Thank you

I-130A Beneficiary Residencies Overlapping |

I'm filling out the I-130 A form for myself (beneficiary) and have completed most of the sections. I'm trying to complete the residencies/address history but neither my husband (USC) or I can figure out what the safest way is to complete this considering my history, without getting an RFE. For context, I have lived in Canada for majority of my life at my parents' house, address A, and currently continue to do so when I am in Canada. However, when I went to do postgraduate, part of my education required me to complete my training in the United States. So while I still had my address in Canada, I temporarily stayed in the United States initially for 3.5 months (address B, C and D) in 2015, then came back to Canada and again stayed in the US for almost 2 years (from Jan 2017 to Sept 2018) at address E and F. I met my now husband while studying in the US during this time At the moment, I have provided address A in Part 1, item 4 and included the dates 2011 to PRESENT, which is how long I've stayed here. I've moved around in between throughout the US due to academic reasons and there would be an overlap in my US residencies dates with my Canadian address. I've read that dates for our residencies should not overlap and that concerns me. So my question is, is it alright for me to attach a separate page, in a letter format, explaining the overlap so I don't get an RFE? If not, what else could I possibly do? I'm already using the Additional Information section to list out all my residencies in the US and employment history. Please let me know if you need more clarity regarding my situation.

I wanted to come on here and share my K-1 Visa moving story in hopes that it can help other couples. With the COVID-19 pandemic growing each day, my fiance and I were extremely concerned with my plans to move to the USA on my K-1 Visa. My flight was scheduled to leave from Edmonton, AB on March 31st and crossing customs and border in Toronto, ON before flying to Atlanta, GA. In the days leading up to my departure, I tried calling the border office and the Embassy to see if I would be admitted entry as there was no clear answer if K-1 Visa holders were deemed "essential" travel. I heard from the Montreal Embassy and they advised that if my Visa expired (it was going to expire April 15, 2020) I would have to go get a new medical exam and attend a new interview in Montreal. This was not an option. I took my chances and flew to Toronto on March 31st. The flight was near empty and once I got to Toronto, I was the only person going through international security and customs and border. The border agent took me into a separate office where a new border agent took my packet that I received from the Embassy. I sat there for about 10 minutes while he processed my paper work. The only questions he asked was where I would be living and if I had travelled outside of Canada to any of the high risk coronavirus countries. He advised that I would need to get married within 90 days of today's date. Afterwards, he wished my good luck and sent me on my way. I was shocked by how simple this process was! I was stressing and sweating for days about whether or not I would be granted entry because of the whole COVID-19 mess. I was never asked about my health condition, nor did the airports take temperatures or anything. I am safe and sound in North Carolina now and self isolating for 14 days out of precaution. I wish everyone else good luck with their Visa processes!
