Does anyone know how Trump s new executive order will affect those applying for AOS? He tweeted, In light of the attack from the Invisible Enemy, as well as the need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens, I will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States! My husband entered the US in February on a K1 visa and we married in March. We were just about to mail in the AOS application and are now worried what this will mean for our situation. My heart goes out to any of you that are separated and pending approval. This whole situation really sucks.

I'm here on a k1 visa, with my daughter(11 years old). My husband(us citizen) and I are planning on filing my AoS paperwork this week but are a little unsure about what the process is for my daughter, do we file an i-485 with mine for her as well, or is she somehow covered under mine? Or do we have to do mine and then hers later? The information I've seen has me a little confused.

Need advise please! I have a pending i-485, i-131 and i-765 after entering US on K-1. Fingerprints were taken in December 2019. while we were waiting for my application to process, my father became ill due to liver cancer. I went to local field office and I was issued an emergency travel document by USCIS office for 30 days expiring on April 11, 2020. Me and my wife flew to India on March 13, 2020 and had our return ticket booked for April 8, 2020. My father passed away the next day we came to India March 15, 2020. A week afterwards country went into lock down and airports are still closed because of COVID-19 and we tried our best registering STEP, Tinyurl and everything possible to be back in the stars but just couldn t make it Even though it was very sensitive time on our family. Now what should be our direction ? Embassy s are closed until May 3, 2020 and USCIS contact Centre in the states is telling me that they are NOT able to help because I am not in the US. What can we do to be able travel back to United States ?

Hi All, My husband petitioned for my daughter and me and we sent it in online in the middle of March. We got both NOA1s dated with the same PD day of the same day both from Nebraska. The date on the USCIS account was also with the same day as well. I logged on today and noticed that the date changed to April 13 for both cases. I contacted Emma, and asked to speak to a live agent. The agent told me that my case was transferred from Nebraska to Vermont, and my daughters has remained at Nebraska. Couple of questions. 1) Why would both of our dates change? 2) Why would they separate the cases to different service centres? 3) Seeing the processing times on the USCIS website , each of those two service centers have two very different timelines. How does that factor in if one gets approved much quicker than the other - when it comes to NVC etc? Id like to have the medicals/interviews done at the same time. Now I'm a tad worried. Any input would be appreciated!
