Hey Visa Journey!!

With the uncertainty of how things are currently going I've decided to start the process to apply for my U.S. citizenship. I'm a bit stuck when it comes to the amount of evidence to upload on the website. For eg. how far back and how many pages of joint back statements should I submit? Are there specific pages of my taxes that I should submit? I figured because I'm filing online I don't need to upload every page of specific documents. Has anyone had any experience with filing form N-400 online? Any advice would be great thanks!!

Hello,

I've seen a post about people who have had similar situations and what they tried to load the messages with but nothing is working.

Also, I'm from Ontario Canada and I got what I thought was the correct police report but it shows on my account that it is invalid. As well as birth certificate. I have the old small paper version and not the updated version in Canada. Anyone else have similar problems and can lend some advice?

thank yoU!

Police records india - canada

Hi

my parents are at the NVC stage and I am not sure about which document is needed for police records.

My parents lived in India until the 1990s and immigrated to Canada, where they now reside and are Canadian Citizens.

As i was reviewing the police certificate requirement, it seems like they will need police record from india since they lived there past age 16.

but i was looking at this site (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country.html) to see what they can substitute that with and the following scenarios are listed:

Document Name:

All Indian nationals aged 16 and above, residing in India - Indian Police Clearance Certificate.

Indian passport holders residing outside India statement of no criminal record

Non-Indian applicants residing in India who are registered with the Foreigner Regional Registration Office (FRRO) Police Clearance Certificate

Non-Indian applicants who reside in India and are not FRRO registered (such as Tibetan Identity certificate holders) - Police Clearance Certificate

So they dont hold indian passports anymore (canadian citizens).

So do i need to get criminal records from india for them or will Canadian records be enough?

thanks for your help!

Hi Everyone,

We're in the process of filling out the N-400 form. I've reached the section where it asks for trips outside the US in the last 5 years. The only trips we've done is going to Canada for weekend trips to visit my husbands family....the problem is we havent kept track of when we went and for how long. is there any advice?

Thank you

USCIS experiencing technical difficulties with case status

USCIS has sent me request for evidence on May 7 on my account and asked me to respond. Since then I was not able to open up link of request for evidence. I tried live chat and spoke to tier 1 and tier 2 officer but all in vein. Finally I decided to send inquiry through inbox of my USCIS account so that I have a documented evidence of this issue. Today CSC has responded my inquiry.

The following is their response.

USCIS is currently experiencing difficulties with national case status. We are apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. There is no formal request for evidence has been issued or sent at this time. Your case is under review and CSC is committed to finish reviewing your case as soon as possible under our resources. We appreciated your continued patience.

Has anyone experienced this?
