How will Montreal get through the backlog?

Hey everyone, I m feeling so hopeless about this entire thing. After being long distance for 4 years we were so close to the end, got our NOA2, and boom, Covid hit. I know the Montreal consulate will have a huge backlog of cases once they finally reopen. Anyone have any ideas, rumors, anything at all for how they ll deal with the backlog? Will it ironically go by quicker since the presidential proclamation has banned certain types of visas? Will they offer more interview slots?

I m trying to stay hopeful that my fianc can be here by end of this year. If anyone can give me any hope at all, it would be great

K1 working - what to bring to AOS interview

Was wondering if anyone who is in the same situation could provide guidance...

I am here on a K1, and will be attending my AOS interview in August. I got my EAD so I started working. Is there anything regarding that that I need to bring to the interview? Should I have updated USCIS about that? I did not even think that I might need to update their records about job status.

But for the interview, do I need to declare that on a form?

Questions about DS-160 Form etc.

Hey y'all, I have a couple questions!

First Question - When looking over the DS-160 form (just trying to gather what I need and get ahead for when the consulate in Montreal finally reopens), theres a section that asks for you to document all the times you have entered the United States from entry date to exit date. The problem is, I live in a border town and have done for the past almost 11 years now since. I've crossed back and forth into the United States almost every other weekend since then (from the age of 13) even for day trips to the shopping malls and grocery stores around Buffalo, NY.

When I met my fianc , we started taking turns going back and forth across the border to visit one another on weekends. He'd come one weekend and I'd go down to Buffalo the next.

I truly don't have any idea how many times I've been in the United States. Not to mention the family trips to Florida I would take every year from the age of 6 months-12 years of age before I immigrated to Canada.

Is there any way to get a comprehensive list that would tell me all the times I've travelled with dates of entry and exit even? I can't get any further with the DS-160 form at the moment because this looming part.

Second Question - When you check your case status on the CEAC website using the case tracker what is the difference between the first ready and the second ready? With all the stress of everything and having to reschedule our wedding I hadn't paid too much attention to what it said in the little box underneath the "Ready" part.

Third Question - I was planning on flying from Canada to the US in a few weeks as travelling to the US by air is still allowed for now. I've checked and saw that they're still granting ESTA's which led me to believe that VWP countries are still allowed to enter too. My ESTA is still valid so I don't need to apply for another, however I do get an I-94 when I travel by land which lasts me 3 months, I haven't travelled by air to the US in years, but I read its just given with the stamp when you fly into the country. I also saw that travellers from the UK are only banned if they've been present in the country in the last 14 days.

I'm a Canadian Permanent Resident with a UK passport, I've lived in Canada since 2009 I know that routine visa services have been suspended but since the I-94 isn't an actual visa will I still be allowed into the US if I fly there?

Again I have a valid ESTA already and haven't been present in the UK in the past 14 days. I just want to make sure everything will be okay before I book any flights.

Thank you all!

Naturalized Canadian Citizen born in Afghanistan- I don't have a birth certificate

Hi, I was 9 years old when I came to Canada from Afghanistan and then I became a Canadian citizen after a year.

I don't have a birth certificate and reading the following website it says "All Afghan citizens should be able to present a tazkera (national identity document) as proof of their identity and their birth place.". https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Afghanistan.html

I am just confused if I need a national identity document from Afghanistan or not because I reside in Canada.
