Hey guys, So our K1 Visa Petition expired on July 15th 2020, obviously this was during the time the consulate in Montreal was closed (and still is) for K1 Visa Processing. Now, I heard from people on here that because it was their fault, I just needed to bring a renewed letter of intent to marry with me to my interview. Our approved petition was sent to Montreal and was received on the 30th of April when everything was closed down. I didn't receive a P3 yet for this reason. Now the thing is, I haven't completed form DS-160 yet, I was having trouble getting my travel records back for my US travel history. Does the fact I haven't completed the DS-160 form mean that it was actually my fault that things were delayed past the point of my petition expiring? Keep in mind the approved petition notice letter from NVC forwarding the petition to Montreal didn't arrive until April 20th and Montreal received it on April 30th (via the CEAS status tracker). I'm quite worried now thinking about this. I have my Case Number but no Invoice ID number.

Hello! I am adjusting my status from K1 to permanent resident, and recently just got my interview letter. I received the letter 3 weeks before my interview is scheduled (August 6, 2020) so I'm trying to get everything together ASAP. So far I plan on bringing the following: - Pictures - wedding, baby shower, family, before marriage, after marriage, etc.
- Husband's 2019 tax return and W2s
- Copy of bills
- Credit card statements showing both of our names
- Copy of address change form
- K1 application copies
- Adjustment of status application copies
- Both of our passports and birth certificates
- Copy of EAD and Advanced Parole approval letters as well as card
I am also going to be just shy of 38 weeks pregnant at the time of our interview, so I'm hoping he's not born before then, haha. If he is, I know a birth certificate is required but we likely won't receive one until about 30 days after his birth, so I plan on bringing the confirmation of birth provided by the hospital. Is there anything else I should be bringing? I'm sure interviews might be slightly different due to COVID, but any tips about what to expect would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Before I can register to vote, do I have to notify my DMV that my status has now changed from a Green Card holder / Lawful Permanent Resident to an actual Naturalized citizen? I currently live in Oregon and can't find any information on it. Any help would be great!

I could use some help on how to fill out the I-131! We will be getting married in the US soon and concurrently filing I-130 and I-485 together from the US. We are also submitting the I-131 travel authorization form. We are unsure of which options to select... Is the purpose of this form so that she could go back to Canada to see family and return? Do we want to select re-entry or advanced parole? Not really sure what that means honestly. 1. What class of admission would she be? She came here as a tourist initially, but we'll be submitting this after we're married. Does this change her admission class? 2. What application type would this be considered? A) A permanent resident or conditional resident of the US applying for a reentry permit? Or B) applying for advanced parole document to allow me to return to the US after foreign travel? Also what if we don't have any dates for sure yet that she will have to leave? She would like to visit family often considering it's a short drive away... Thanks!

Forgive me if this question has already been answered! If it has, I'll delete this. I've done some searching and can't find a recent answer. I POE'd with a K1 visa on 27 February 2020 with my car (2012 Jeep Wrangler) but didn't have a compliance letter (I thought my EPA sticker was a DOT sticker. In hindsight, just didn't do enough research). I imported it temporarily for 1 year for personal use due to not having the proper form. I've now obtained the compliance letter from Fiat-Chrysler. I don't plan on doing anything yet until my EAD is issued. I know I need to have EPA form 3520-1 and DOT form HS-7 for importation. I know that with a K1 visa it's duty free-- even though when I actually am able to import it it'll be well after POEing, will the duty free allowance still be there? As well, do I actually have to leave the country to import? The closest border to me is 8.5 hours away (Pembina, N.Dak) but there's a CBP office in my city, and the border doesn't look like it's reopening any time soon due to COVID-19.
