Hello, I'm a prospective K1 Visa applicant who is currently waiting for NOA2.

I was wondering if there is anyone out there who got a RFE for submitting only the one page of passport that has the bio info and expiry date as the proof of US citizenship. Or anyone who did so and was still able to get approved? My fiance and I had not known about the general rule to copy all pages of passport when submitting our I-129F application. We're new to this community and so worried that our mistake is going to cause further delay in the process. If anyone could kindly share their experience and help us out, it would be very appreciated!! Thank you so much.

In June 2019 @KartineeKartoons started a group message for Canadian spousal applicant VJers who were stuck in the Montreal interview scheduling backlog. They invited members at the same stage in the IV process and the message group has remained active more than a year later, currently with 199 VJ members. Not all members are active in the conversation, and a few weeks ago someone suggested it was time to disband the message group.

I am inviting all the active members to hold our discussion here, publicly in the forum, moving forward. Having our collective experiences and knowledge siloed behind closed doors is a disservice to the the whole of the VJ community. Let's strengthen the community as a whole by making a shift.

Invitations: @DGF @shammykay @Tofu @sjb17 @rainbow-skies @Mzamour @Cath&Claire @sh114 @S.H.11 @Leah123 @DoubleE @Hadarah @MWhite @legendqueue @SeriaRisa11 @PawlD @i5love @Jay&Sid @mizzem @Kingsrish @Abhikochar @Je9ala @Madison99 @ArgiE0601 @Lovepeace0303 @leo18 @A&RN @marahm18 @acmanu @Sanmcall @Dkw @SASAS @Romans13 @Rose__ @InspectorGrover @canadavisa22 @chefcurry88 @lngtimecoming @Lovenature @mam521 @Noam D @Pat1976 @dee&vee @AMSAL @ReadIcculus @Jacqueline H @Couchpotato560 @Dbrennan @eketros @MrsDex @wordsfromdani @kburbasaur @Jenn&Matt @Waitin-Game @mika__ @Specter @ameena1423 @chanel167 @TOtoVA @Michelle_VM @BunyanP @HRubin @Irregularblob @US-EH @C&L2018 @rafale1973 @Lois K @2Ps @Rush11 @jackanddeona @Kaleigh11 @vjcl @SJS8581 @Ptitchou @fxch3 @starboogie @tmac99 @Flowergirl 737 @Prairiegirl3 @Skaur0609 @Cammabear @Emilini @jacketconfident @eagle212 @betzzymathew @Sarjb77 @Akaur @JACHA @Rotorhead @BeeSee @CGs_Mother @SAsal @Todd@Alya @Hamlet @AfterTheSnow @JandTK @Mel and Deb @Abe&Noha @anto3knee @PennyLaneB @JenTex @Aminac13 @Canadiangirl38 @Jaret&Rachael @llednew.rm

Group members not specifically listed above haven't signed into and/or read VJ messages for a while but are more than welcome to participate.

Let's all help keep information accessible to all and transparent, and alleviate the anxiety other visa applicants experience navigating this convoluted process.

Hello VJ!
I just filed my AOS application today. Once received, and if all goes well, what should I be expecting within the next we months? (Besides a lot of waiting). I am just unsure of the next steps in the process or what to expect.

thank you!

Canada US border restrictions extended

https://www.kuow.org/stories/canada-u-s-border-restrictions-extended-forcing-big-changes-in-some-people-s-lives

The months-long closure of the U.S.-Canada border to non-essential crossings has been extended again. The border crossing restrictions will last at least until late September, probably longer, due to the pandemic. The outlook is leading people who used to cross regularly to make major life changes.

Some U.S. politicians and businesses want the border closure eased. But a lot of Canadians look at the uncontrolled spread of Covid-19 south of the border with alarm.

Len Saunders is an immigration attorney who works in Blaine, Washington, just a few blocks from the Canadian border. When the U.S and Canada tightened the screws on discretionary border crossings back in March, Saunders expected his business to take a hit. Instead, he's busier.

Has anyone been able to cross the land border into the US since March with a k1 visa?

Hi all,

I am a Canadian waiting to hear about my rescheduled interview at the Montreal consulate. I'm also pregnant. I'm worried about being able to cross the land border once I get my k1 visa since I will not be able to fly by the time I get my visa. Has anyone crossed since March with a visa? I don't know if it's the same with the Mexico/US border but has anyone crossed that border by land?
