Police certificate for interview |

Hi guys, I'm not a Canadian citizen and I had to take my police certificates from Brazil. I haven't lived there since Jan 2019; I've been living in Canada since then. I received my Brazilian police certificates for the NVC filling which was in July 2020. I was wondering if I have to get a new Brazilian Police certificate for the interview at the consulate because the certificate says it is valid for 3 months only, and it will be expired by the time my interview is scheduled. P.S. I am asking this because I don't live in Brazil anymore, so it doesn't make sense for me to acquire new police certificates from my home country if I haven't lived there in almost two years.

I might have to redo my medical but I am now pregnant. Just wondering how that changes the process. The last time I had to do a chest x-ray, do they still make you do that if you're pregnant?

I see people here mentioning their priority date a lot. I just got my NOAs for the 485 and the Priority Date is Sept 1. I am adjusting via marriage, but not from a K1 visa. Does the priority date hold any significance, other than being the official date my AOS application was received?

Hi, Are there any residency requirements for the american petitioner for the k1 visa? My fiance happened to be here in March when the border closed and his work went remote so he's been here about 6 months. He still has his apartment in the US and is still at the same US job, he's just been in Canada for a while. Does anyone know if there is any risk to him staying in Canada? I'm hoping I will have my interview rescheduled in late October and to move by November so he would stay here so we could move together but I'm a little worried about that causing any concern at our interview. He's applied for an extension from the Canadian government so he's allowed to be here while we wait for my visa. I could bring a copy of that application as well where we had to prove he still had his american job and is paying for his US apartment, bills and had the intent to leave once I received my visa.

Now that interviews are being rescheduled, I would love to know who has been able to cross over by land with an approved visa (k-1 or spousal). Just wondering where they attempted and how it went. My fiance's visa was approved last week and on it's way and we are really nervous if he is going to have to fly or can drive ( he lives 1 mile from the Windsor/Detroit tunnel). The consulate told him to contact the border and ask before attempting but he wants to wait until visa is in his hands.
