Interview Notice *confused*

Hi everyone.

I got another interview notice. October 20... exactly two months to the date of our original interview on August 20.

the interview notice looks just like the first one without the USCIS letter head and instead of saying initial interview it just says interview.

see attached (marked out personal info).

I have no idea what to make of this. I am going to call them on Monday to confirm and of course re-prep all my docs for this second interview.

Previous J1 Visa - what did they ask at Montreal?

My fianc and I are preparing docs for the interview and he was here previously in 2018 on a J1 visa (not subject to 2 year rule). Has anyone (K1 or CR1) here had a previous J1 visa for an exchange program? Did they ask about it at the interview in Montreal and if so what did they ask for? Did they ask anything related to the 2 year rule?

I944 Retroactice?

Hi All,

My wife and I sent off our AOS packet without the i944 (in early September before the ruling was reversed). Because it is retroactive, we will likely receive an RFE for this. Can we go ahead and send the i944 to USCIS to add to our packet before an RFE to keep this as efficient as possible?

Anyone else in the same boat?

Thanks!

On the I-944 there is a question about health insurance. Each month I renew my travel insurance from Canada. I was under the impression I wasn t able to obtain health insurance here until I had an SSN number? I am in Florida. Any help would be great!
will the travel insurance be sufficient for the time being? Or should I look into another option?

Card Charged - Can I Stop Worrying About the Increase?

So my credit card was charged today by the Chicago Lockbox for both fees ($1,225 and $535) of my AOS package (that included the 765 and 131).

(Much faster than I expected, I might add - since it's only been 8 business days / 12 calendar days since they received it - and it seems it's been averaging around double that lately).

Is it safe to say that I'm "in" with the old fees, and can stop worrying about the increase now? (i.e. It most likely won't be REJECTED at this point, and I won't have to re-file with the BIG increase / added 765 + 131 fees?

Likely worst case scenario only RFE to worry about now?
