I hope someone can help me. I immigrated to the US with my kids in February 2024 and received my green card at the end of March, but my kids have not received theirs yet. Where can I follow up? I tried to do it on the USCIS website, but it won't let me submit with the choice of I-90! I would appreciate it if anyone could help.

My husband makes more than enough to meet the income requirements, but he was unemployed for the first 3 months of 2024. All of our NVC documents were approved last week. We got an additional message in the inbox - "The income reported as stated on form I-864, I-864A is insufficient to overcome the public charge grounds of inadmissibility for visa issuance. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos and https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p. A consular officer will decide if you meet these requirements at the time of the interview. Note: You, as the sponsor, and any other sponsors household members and joint sponsors, must provide updated or additional evidence for the applicant to present at the time of their interview such as: * Other income * Assets * Proof of current employment Note: You submitted documentation to the National Visa Center through the Consular Electronic Application Center CEAC. You can continue to upload documents to CEAC up until the date of your visa interview." My understanding is we do not NEED a joint sponsor but it would help our case. Unfortunately we have no one to ask for such a big request. Has anyone received this message? Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Hello, I've been in the process of filling out the I-129f and organizing my evidence. I was just wondering if i'm including chat history from apps like Discord or Whatsapp where our usernames are not the same as our real ones do I need to include those usernames as an alias in part 1?

I have my interview next month, and in preparation I'm wondering what the time post-interview but pre-oath is like. - Will I have my green card until I take the oath? - Assuming I pass the interview, what is my "immigration status" before the oath - am I still considered a PR? - Do you get documentation stating that you passed the interview? - After I take the oath, can I travel outside the US before getting a US passport, or will that make re-entry tricky? I would be traveling to Canada. Thank you!

Stopped pursuing application, want to start again? |

To make a long story short, we had to stop pursuing our application for personal reasons beyond our control. We received notice that our application was sent to NVC in September 2021 and it was at that point we had some things to sort out here in Canada (our child had some medical concerns and lots of testing being done in Canada so we stayed here while they were trying to find what was wrong). From what we can read online, I think we have to re-apply because the absolute max that NVC will keep your file is 1 year (2 if you have issues beyond your control) and we have exceeded both. Has anyone had to start all over again? Did you run into any hiccups or any advice you can share that night be helpful? We are ready to start again now that everything is, thankfully, all clear. Just looking for any advice or even to see if anyone has been in a similar situation of re-applying :)
