I had picked an appointment date and went through my medical examination and gather all documents needed when I showed up at the embassy my name wasn t on their list when the security called they said I have to wait for a pack 4 email ironically I received that email the same day on the way back to my house so I tried to log back in to see when will it be for the next appointment available and it doesn t give me the option of rescheduling so I had to click on missed appointment and provide a reason why I want to reschedule. I want to know how long will it takes before the schedule button reappears? Will I have to do my medical examination again or it s good for a certain time? Is there any impact? Any help will be appreciated

I was able to pick an appointment date and go do my medical test and gathered all my documents but at the embassy they told me I had to wait for an email to be able schedule and that s why I wasn t on their list of attendees so I went back home and that same day I received an packet 4 email telling me I can pick and appointment date but the only option I have is to click missed appointment so I clicked on it explain why technically I would like to reschedule and I still cannot reschedule. Is there an amount of time before I m able to reschedule again? How long will it take before the schedule button reappears ? Will I have to do my medical examination again? Is there any other impact?

Tax return, 1099 and Schedule form required, but what does this mean?

We just got all our documents approved on the CEAC and received the message that says "Please submit every 2023 W-2, 1099, and Schedule form for *husband*"

We know what a w-2 is, that's easy. But neither of us have heard of a 1099 or a "Schedule" form. Any idea what this is?

Not sure if the problem is on my side, but I have been unable to see the Popular Topics recently. Anyone else experienced this/has solutions to offer?

RFE i-864

I got an RFE on my AOS for insufficient income. They said this on there:

Based on the documents submitted, we could not determine that the petitioning sponsor on Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, is qualified. In order to be a qualified sponsor, the petitioning sponsor s Form I-864 must be properly completed and signed, and the supporting documents must establish that the petitioning sponsor s income meets 125 percent of the federal poverty guideline for the sponsor s household size. Based on the documents submitted, we could not determine that the joint sponsor, [redacted], on Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, is qualified.

The Total Income line on IRS Form 1040 is used to determine qualifying income for a sponsor, not the Gross Receipts line from IRS Schedule C or C-EZ.

My husband does not make any income since he goes to school. So he has no income coming through, and he has not filed any taxes. My father-in-law agreed to be my joint sponsor. He had a company he no longer owns, and his adjusted gross income for the past 3 years was significantly lower than the household threshold. However, this year in June, he started a new job and he s been making over $2,400 a week, which is around $100k yearly. I was able to provide 3 months of pay stubs, a letter explaining his past business income that will not affect him anymore, and employment verification.

I was told that current income was king. So what do I do?

I don t know if the verification letter might be why, since it doesn t mention a salary.
