Hey! I'm getting closer to the Embassy stage and had a few questions about the Affidavit of support. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row ahead of time.

• My grandma is going to use her income instead of mine so would I be filing a joint sponsor or a co sponsor?
• Do I need to fill out an affidavit of support with her or do we only need my grandmas completed form at the interview?
• Is there a guide on joint/co sponsorship anywhere so I can show my grandma what she needs to fill out and collect?

My fiance submitted form I-129F on May 15th, 2020.

I know that I will need to have my medical exam and my background check (from all countries I lived in) ready for the interview.

My question is:

1. can I go ahead and start requesting that background check and do the medical exam or do i need to wait for a special permission from the USCIS prior to doing those?

Hi! I'm wondering if K1 Fiance visa applicants are required to bring a I-864 form to the interview? I know I have to bring the I-134 affidavit of support, but am confused about whether the I-864 is also required. Thank you.

My Fiance and i are just about to finish our K1- visa packet and i just want to be sure i have this right. She had her last name changed when she got married previously and never took the time to have her name changed back after her divorce to her birth name.

my question here is do we need to provide proof of her name changed like a marriage certificate. We will be sending in a copy of her original birth certificate wich has her original last name on on it but her current last name is that of her previous marriage.

I'm planning on moving into an apartment and I have a pending K1 petition awaiting my NOA2. Would I want to add my foreign fiance to my lease or just get the lease in my name 100% and then add my fiance when she finally gets here? I wouldn't want her to come here and then get denied and not have anywhere to stay but I also don't know if its even possible to get her on the lease or accepted before she even gets here. Any advice would be appreciated. =]
