Hey all, Just wanted to share an update (not sure if this has been discussed yet) but moving forward from November, all RCMP finger print based police record searches under the Privacy act has been changed to the name "Criminal Record Check for Personal Use" The information would still be the same as long as the Reason for the check is listed under "Other", this gives an entire record check. Just in case anybody gets theirs back & panics that it reads differently!

Just a quick question for anyone that has experience regarding traveling while a I129-F is still being processed. I have been researching current processing times for the K1 visa and everything on the USCIS side seems fairly normal. But the NVC is stage after the NOA2 isn't looking good (10 Months) just to receive an interview. Has anyone here Traveled during the NOA1 or the NOA2 period? I normally go to the united states to be with her every year (for the past 3 years) and i stay for around 4 months. Like i said earlier we were hoping the k1 visa wouldn't be held up like it looks like it going to be due to the crappy covid. So is traveling after a I129-F has been received a bad idea?

Hello all! I am the beneficiary for the K1 visa and I have just recently gotten a new job. We are currently awaiting our NOA2 (NOA1 was March 24) and was wondering if I had to contact someone and change my workplace on the I-29F form. I'm not sure if it actually matters but I would hate to get an RFE just because I no longer work where I claimed was my current employer.

I've read the guides, searched the forum, and looked at the Canada consulate reviews, so I think this is fine, but I just want to check: I'm putting our initial I-129F packet together now and it's recommended to mail a copy of the "exact" packet to your fianc e. We have every page we're submitting (including scans of all the signed pages) in a shared Dropbox anyway (and we've kept extra wet copies/extra passport photos in case the packet gets lost) and I'd rather not waste the paper, printer ink, paper clips, post-it notes, and cost to ship an "exact" copy of the packet to my fianc e. I also don't see the point in making another packet for myself since I can just print the contents out again if needed. Is it fine if my fianc e just reviews the packet contents on her own/brings her own printouts to the interview? Does she even need to bring a copy of every single page of the I-129F to the interview, or just the evidence (and of course, what she's required to bring to the interview)? Honestly from the reviews, it doesn't seem like any of the I-129F content is ever asked for.
