NVC expediting K-1 visa

Hi! I'm wondering if anyone has experience expediting their visa through NVC. I received my notice of approval through USCIS June 2, 2021 and the embassy in Montreal is backlogged (looks like they're about 7 months behind). This is obviously creating a lot of issues so we sent an email to attempt to expedite the visa from NVC to the embassy in Montreal. It has been about 5 weeks since the email has been sent and I haven't received a response. I called and waited on hold for 2 hours only for them to say they have not looked at the expedite request yet.

Hey guys,

I filed an expedite request on July 28. My fianc is an active duty member of the military, and I saw a few others get approval for this. Now I m not sure whether or not my request gets approved, but I figured I d give it a shot.

However, it s now been 6 weeks since the request and tomorrow is the 30th business day. What are my next steps if I don t hear anything back by Friday morning? Will calling the NVC help? Send an another email that will go the bottom of the pile?

I appreciate any help.

I-129f employment history: year & month okay, or must DAYS be exact?

As per my title, I'm wondering if the petitioner's employment history (screenshot below) needs to be precise down to the day, or if the month and year are sufficient. I'm not sure how anyone reliably knows the exact day they started and ended work at each job they've had in the last five years. I'm not even sure how I'd find that out.

Birth certificate

Hi Members,

I want to confirm regarding birth certificates.

1. My birth certificate is from India and its both foreign language and English underneath each line. Moreover it s laminated too. Did anyone have the same document and was it accepted for K1 interview. I have my interview next week at Montreal.

2. My fianc s birth certificate is in Arabic. But he has the translated copy too in English. Should that be accepted at the consulate interview. Both the documents are quite old but includes all details.

Does birth certificate cause any issue or delays in the approval process and are there any other documents that I should keep with me to support birth information other than the certificate. Please advise.

Thanks

I-129F: I lack the usual proof of physical meeting

Hi! My American girlfriend and I (Canadian) are considering US immigration via the K1 fiance visa route. My understanding is the I-129F form requires evidence that we have physically been together within the last 2 years. The problem is, despite meeting each other dozens of times over the last two years, I'm not sure we have any evidence of it. For years, our routine has been that she drives across the border from Buffalo to visit me on her days off from work. We just never really do anything special when she's here in Canada; we just hang out at my home. And besides, we've barely even seen each other in person since March 2020 for obvious reasons.

Most of the usual suggestions for proof that I see on these forums are not something I have:

  • There are no visa stamps, since Canadians and Americans do not require them to cross the border.
  • I did fly to Buffalo to visit her last year, but I did not keep the boarding pass.
  • We have never paid for anything simultaneously (one of us covers the whole bill whenever we buy something, for simplicity.)
  • We have pictures together, but nothing that proves any dates (how often do you take pictures standing next to today's newspaper?)
  • We have 84,000 messages exchanged on Discord (instant messaging platform), but that doesn't prove we've been together physically, or even that her Discord account is actually her.

Now that the border is open again, we're fine with purposely seeking out some sort of activity that could constitute proof of physically meeting. But doing so feels sort of fake and staged and I don't want to give that impression to US officials looking at my application. At the same time, I do need proof somehow. What can I do?

Thanks for the help!
