I reside in Alberta and I think we made a mistake on our I-129F but wanted to ask you guys here what your thoughts are. We put Montreal as our consulate because I thought I read that Vancouver no longer processes K1 visas. Looking at it again, I see it says they no longer process K3 visas. Did I make a mistake, should we have put Vancouver? If yes, is there a way to change it? Truthfully I'm just looking at cutting down processing time where I can (but let's be real, I can't haha). I would prefer Vancouver because of the flight and I'd have a place to stay with family, but at this point I'm not going to sweat it too much. Thank you for your time.

Hello, I am the beneficiary from Canada and my partner (petitioner) is in the US. We are June 2022 filers and received our NOA1 on June 3rd, 2022. Our payment was already cashed. My question is - we filled out question 38 on the i-129f regarding the i-94 even though I had LEFT the United States when my partner filed our petition. We did this because we followed the instructions packet very closely, in which it stated to provide the date of the most recent i-94. We must have missed the actual sentence on the form that said to fill it out if the beneficiary was currently in the US. I have been looking at many, many different posts and have come across how others have had the same issue and were also confused by this. My question is, has anyone been accepted by providing the i94 despite the beneficiary not being in the US? Will this cause a major problem?

EDIT: Please ignore this topic. I do not know how to delete it. I have found a thread regarding this topic, found here for anyone else that may wonder: Hello kind people of the forum, My fiance is in the process of completing the paperwork for our K1 visa application submission. We noticed that when we printed out the I-129F, the bottom barcode does not print out. Has anyone else had this issue? Are we doing something wrong? Will this affect our application in a negative way, aka, it gets rejected? Thank you for your time!

Hi My Fianc e just received our approved K1 Visa in the mail!! I had some questions regarding the package itself 1) On the State.gov website it states not to open the "sealed package" My question is the package inside the package i received in the mail or am i not suppose to open the package at all (in picture) 2) I know the Issued K1 visa is valid for up to 6 months and upon entry we have 90 days to get married and apply for AoS ect. So does this mean that if the issue date was March 4th 2022, and i enter the states on June 4th 2022, does that mean that there is only 3 months left of validity of the Visa upon entry? The reason i ask is because i would like to stay in Canada just a little longer to save up as much money as possible before entering the USA to get married and stay with my wife while we apply for AoS. I'm just not sure if it's wise to stay in Canada to save more money for another 3 months or if i should just pack my bags and head down asap. Any help would be appreciated. ![20220311_094914.jpg](https://www.visajourney.com/static/images/uploads/monthly_2022_03/20220311_094914.thumb.jpg.99811d30c0cd38258378af62bdf80a7c.jpg)

Hello, I am hoping someone can help me out. I am trying to figure out if I need to apply for an extension on my K1 Visa or if I need to seek a lawyer at this point. I received an approved I-129F petition on 10/29/2021. My fianc submitted his DS-160 on 11/11/2021 and then had his interview on 02/07/2022. After the interview, the Montreal Embassy temporarily refused the visa for "Administrative Processing" and requested a questionnaire be filled out. We promptly returned the questionnaire on the same date. Upon further research, it appears that this questionnaire was part of DS-5535, it's been 3 weeks and the Embassy is not replying to our emails. I have read online that these can take anywhere from 'several weeks' to over 8 months. The only information I've seen is on the CEAC site indicating a "Refused" as of 02/16/2022 and stating that "Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing. You will receive another adjudication once such processing is complete" I am livid that the officer at the Embassy targeted my fianc , considering Canada is not a high risk country and given I have provided every form and document to them with more than sufficient information. I can't help but to feel this was due to some form of discrimination given my fianc 's ethnicity and orientation. Is it recommended I bring a lawyer in? I appreciate any insight anyone has on this and how to proceed. Thank you, Michael
